Services
Incorporated in 1957, Eastway Behavioral Healthcare's mission is to advance the overall health and security of individuals and the community by providing excellent behavioral healthcare, rehabilitation and housing services and to advocate on behalf of individuals with special needs.

For more than 60 years, we've been reaching out to those whose world has been turned upside down by mental illness, addiction, emotional disturbance and trauma, and helped them right it.We encourage people to look at their situation, prospects and potential. We understand that healing takes time. It's a process.
The pandemic has led to an increased need for local mental health services. Now thanks to a new program, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has hired specialists from Eastway Behavioral Health to work alongside them and help meet the community's growing mental health needs.

First Financial Bank has opened a new banking location in North Dayton as part of what is says is an effort to provide more banking options in low- to moderate-income neighborhoods. As part of the opening, the bank made donations to Eastway Behavioral Healthcare. I have received services from Eastway for over a decade. Were it not for Eastway I would not be alive. No Social Service agency of this nature is ever perfect. Caseworkers, for instance, are vastly underpaid (due to lack of adequate State and Federal funding) and have extremely high caseloads. That said, I have found through my personal experience and the experiences of those I have suggested Eastway to, that this agency is the best of its kind in the city.

Treated my son horribly. Got his disability taken from him. Dr Toca is a quack!! The case managers are a bunch of stuck up college drop outs who can't get a decent job anywhere eles, so they take it out on the clients. Horrible place. Stay clear of this place

I called 3 times a week for a month before I was called back to get services then my case worker wouldn't return calls when I left messages I was freaking out and needed help. She only called once every week or two and did nothing to help me. I called her numerous times and got a voice message. Medicaid was charged $100 for me leaving messages. Looking at Eastway Behavioral Healthcare Employee Reviews a past employee posted on indeed about they commit Medicaid fraud

To many patients, not enough staff. I go there now and appreciate what help they give, but I keep getting my Doctors switched and Nurses changed. I cannot get appointments when I need them. They have so many appointments a 2 week appointment seems impossible. A 4 week appointment is difficult. I need to see a doctor often as I have been having major side effects from my medicine. I have been told many different diagnosis but only one is in my file. You cannot talk to any except through the case manager and mine rarely calls back in time to help. I am signed up to get a physician, I have been for
