Debra Parrish Dees was born to Milton & Joan Stapleton Parrish of Lake City where she grew up as a fifth generation member of her family in Columbia County.Debra graduated from Columbia High School in Lake City and John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science in Nashville, Tennessee. After which she returned to her job at Biggs Funeral Home in Lake City where she worked for 16 years before opening the Dees-Parris Family Funeral Home.
