After patronizing this dentist's office for 6 years I was asked to leave after not agreeing to 18 that's right, 18 X-RAYS. After the first 9 I asked how many more...9 more. The brusque, newest addition to the practice who was assigned to me was rude and was willing to let my business and loyalty go before meeting me. My last dentist at this practice has moved to Michigan. I miss her. Don't use this dentist unless you can get Melanie Pugh. Shes quite good and has a nice demeanor.

Updated review. I initially was seen a few weeks ago for an evaluation for a crown and replacement of 2 very antiquated fillings. I met with Dr. Midence. I was greeted at the door with smiling faces and very professional personnel. The wait time was not long. Then I met with Dr. Midence who immediately put me at ease. She is very professional , excellent skills, knowledgeable and kind. Another appointment was made for a temporary crown and the new fillings were replaced. Last week I returned for my permanent crown and all went well. It was a pleasure to met some of the staff and Jody the practice

This happened awhile go but the DR pic came up on Yelp and I thought I wrote a review but didn't and felt it important to do it now!
My husband was referred there on an emergency basis because of a suspected heart issue and because we were a half hour away we wanted to be in the area early.
We were in the parking lot wnd after about 10 mins we decided to go in 20 mins early.
When he signed in, they advised him he was 10 mins late. My husband had the phone on speaker when he made the appt and both of us heard them say 1;30 and they said it was 1:00.
They advised that because he was

What an experience! So glad to have found Dr Pugh and her amazing staff. I’m planning on bringing the rest of my family to this practice. From the moment I arrived for my first visit today I was impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They submitted my insurance for me. What a pleasant surprise! It’s pretty hard to find that kind of assistance nowadays. The dental assistant was very kind and professional and made me feel totally at ease. Finally found a dental office I feel comfortable with. Being relatively new to Florida and having tried out at least 5 different locations, I feel very comfortable with the service I received today. Office was clean and comfortable, state of the art dental equipment, and wonderful staff! Dentist was awesome and the assistant that performed my X-rays was so professional and explained everything in detail. I’m so happy to have found a great dentist and in a great location.

Everything you read on Dr. Melanie Pugh's website about who they are and what they do is completely accurate and true. In fact, they are even better than what they say. I have gone to many dentists over the years and every one of them cares but Dr. Pugh's practice takes the caring, both dental and otherwise, to another level, altogether.Additionally, the quality of their dentistry, backed up by the state-of-the-art dental devices they utilize, means she and her associate doctors are without peer. This is an outstanding dental practice! I started going there about two years ago and have found all of the staff to be professional and caring. I see Dr. Westervelt, who is absolutely outstanding. However, in talking with other patients in the waiting room, they are all very happy with Dr. Pugh and the other two dentists there as well. I highly recommend this practice.

When I first went to this office I saw a dentist that I liked (and who has since left to open her own practice). I needed my first crown (ever) and it was done in this office. The procedure was acceptable.
For MONTHS after the permanent crown was placed, I had aching, some throbbing. I assumed it was due to the new crown adjusting to its surroundings.
When I finally returned for my regular cleaning, it was discovered that the tooth under the crown was dead and that I would need a root canal. The method in which this information was relayed to me was cold, without care (or seemingly so) by Dr

My family went to see Dr. Pugh to have our teeth cleaned and fillings done. She was very good. No one experienced any pain when she filled our teeth. At the initial visit they explained the out of pocket expenses to us for the fillings. They also take prepayments if there is something that is a little out of budget and you need time to save. What I recommend is to make sure that you tell them up front that you want your teeth cleaned. My first appointment was only for x-rays so I had to go back for the teeth cleaning.
