When choosing treats it is important to read the labels. Look to see where it was manufactured-like China or the U.S.A. Check to see if the treats have been quality-checked and monitored under food safety programs. It is also important to read the labels to check the serving size. Treats need to be fed according to a dog's weight.
The recommended calorie intake from treats should not exceed 10 percent of a dog's total daily caloric requirement. We always say to treat them as if they were a candy bar-that way you know how many they should receive in a day. We believe dogs are intelligent creatures with a great capacity to learn.

Services
Welcome to Olson Animal Hospital Inc., where your pet and your peace of mind are our top priority. Dr. Olson is interested in your concerns about your pet and takes the time to thoroughly communicate with you the owner. Our progressive hospital has it's own lab equipment, and Dr. Olson provides comprehensive vaccinations on site.
All pets entering our facilities for boarding are given a pre-entry examination. If a pet is found to have fleas or ticks, we will treat the pet to remove the fleas or ticks at the owners expense prior to placing him/her into the lodging area. Dogs are required to have vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvo, a negative fecal within the last six months and Bordetella within the last six months.
Olson's Animal Hospital believes that no pet should undergo any surgery without the benefit of pain relief or individual attention to their unique needs. Olson's recommends a variety of options to make your pet as safe as possible. They include: pre-anesthetic blood work, age/breed specific diagnostics (EKG screening of the heart), IV catheter, IV fluids, and pain medications to go home.
Our well equipped Veterinary Specific laboratory provides for fast and reliable laboratory results. Because blood work is not sent out to an off-site human laboratory, many serious conditions, including anemia, diabetes and electrolyte imbalance can be diagnosed within minutes. In-house testing allows our doctors to diagnose serious conditions immediately so that specific treatment can be started without delay.
Great pet care starts with client communication. In our journey toward excellence, once a month, each Olson's healthcare team member is trained on topics of veterinary medicine. These training classes consists of topics of exceptional customer service, standards of animal care, animal nutrition, heartworm disease, fleas, anatomy of the ear and treatment, dermatology, dentistry, intestinal parasites and vaccine protocols.

Today I went to collect Creeds collar and leash.. it was emotional and to top it all of the veterinary staff handed me this rose.. so needless to say I broke down in tears and bolted out of there.
The leash… is the last of the things we had from Apollo.. he was wearing a collar that matched the last time we saw him. Being that Creed was his little brother, it was only natural he got to use his brothers leash.
I cannot express my gratitude for the veterinary staff at Olsons Veterinary Clinic. We have used them for years and we have always been there in times of emergency and just for the

My sister in law came to town Thanksgiving Eve with their 2 dogs after making arrangements via phone for a late arrival (around 10:30 pm). Cheyenne was there to greet them & get the dogs settled in for the next couple of days. She was very loving, caring & professional. Upon leaving, they gave one dog the medication it needed for the long trip home as promised. I am allergic to animals but the couple of times I've entered the building, I could not smell any animals, urine, etc. which told me the place was clean and I didn't have any allergy issues. They have no problem with leaving their animals

This clinic has several reviews of holding an animal hostage for payment and charging for unnecessary and unauthorized testing. A dog that comes in for parvo treatment should not be returned home with what appears to be a dislocated jaw, under weight, and scared of the world. As an animal care professional I would highly recommend doing your research before trusting this clinic with the care of your pets!
