WONDERFUL!!! I’m severely disabled and my husband has been interviewing/calling all the dentists and oral surgeons in our area and he got off the phone with the staff at Dr. Colleran‘s and just went on and on about how friendly, knowledgeable, clear we really wanted to help us out the receptionist had been; this had been our experience nowhere else! So he made an appointment. The front staff are exceptionally warm and welcoming, they have answers that most front staff don’t have; we were very impressed and when we met the doctor he treated us like a family member. it was clear it wasn’t

I'm in the Army and needed to find a dentist out here in the area. I called and asked what there process was for I have not used my dental insurance before. I was given clear guidance and was able to be seen right away for the issues I was having. My overall experience was great with very helpful and kind service for I am greatly pleased to have had at this location. With the care that I was given, I would recommend to those that I work with.

While I agree with the general opinion that the staff was very kind and friendly, I was extremely disappointed with my appointment. In all my years of going to a dentist every 6 months, each appointment has been roughly the same: I receive a thorough cleaning by a hygienist and then the dentist comes in to do an exam and recommends any next steps. This all takes roughly less than an hour. If I'm a new patient (I've changed dentists twice in my life) it might take a bit longer for new xrays, extra questions on dental history, etc , maybe 1hr 15 min max. <-- understandable

They greet you at the door by your first name and truly make you at home and welcomed.
Denise the hygienist is simply the best!
Her chair-side manner is warm and engaging, and she keeps the patient informed of what she is doing and why in layman’s language. It’s not often that you’ll hear someone say that they look forward to visiting their dentist, but it’s definitely true in my case.
I truly enjoyed my very professional dental experience. I will definitely recommend Dr. Colleran

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Colleran’s for over 20 years. I recently suffered a cracked tooth and called their office at the end of the day to schedule an appointment ASAP. They took me as the first appointment the next day.
Upon examination, Dr. Colleran advised that I had severed the tooth and he recommended a crown. Since the tooth had most of it’s filling still in place, and I was in no pain, he scheduled me to return for a crown in three business days. Excellent service by both the office and Dr. Colleran!

What I appreciate most from Dr. Colleran and his staff is their genuine respect for their patients. They are here to support us without administering shame or guilt. My husband and I are FINALLY on a good path with our dental hygiene and that's because we feel comfortable to address our dental needs here. Dr. Colleran is not my regular dentist, although he is my husband's. My husband has always been pleased with Dr. Colleran so when I got a painful toothache (over the weekend and right before Xmas and an out of town trip, of course)and my regular dentist was closed for the holidays I called Dr. Colleran's office to get their advice. They were so kind and helpful and worked me in that morning When I got to the office I was seen right away and x-rays were taken. Dr. Colleran thoroughly discussed the X-rays with me, showed me the inflammation in the molar's root and had the office

Thanks to the review about the LANAP procedure from another yelper here it convinced me to give the treatment another look. Saving the "original equipment" was how Dr. Colleran put it at my consult and it really stuck with me. Losing teeth is a big deal to me and I don't take what the 3+ dentists now who told me I'd lose teeth soon lightly. I basically started crying when he told me that he could, in fact, save my teeth in one or two appointments using this procedure. I've been in pain for years with no hope in sight so I was amazed to hear anything positive.

Six months ago I had LANAP laser surgery with Dr. Colleran for some very advanced periodontal issues that the periodontist I had seen told me were untreatable and would end up in the loss of three teeth. Although I won't know for sure for another six months when they do the 1 year probing checkup, I am fairly certain those teeth are no longer at risk. I have no more bleeding or pus. My mouth feels healthy and good and according to Dr. Colleran, everything is healing beautifully. I would strongly urge anyone with periodontal disease to try the LANAP before doing any of the old fashioned surgeries

From the moment I walked in the door i was made to feel very comfortable. the staff are very friendly and helpful from making ex rays quick and gag less as possible to answering all questions. Dr is very gentle didn't even feel the needle when numbed. I initially went in for a chipped tooth and he fixed it super quick and painlessly. we worked out a plan to get my smile shining bright again and it is. I will and do recommend this office to all

I unfortunately chipped my two front teeth on a Sunday here in SLO. I didn't have a dentist when this happened so Monday morning I called around town and they had an opening!
After filling out my new patient paperwork I got a water bottle filled with goodies and decorated with a nice ribbon! Just for filling out paperwork! This was a great gesture and made me feel really valued especially since I have never been rewarded for filling out paperwork.

I started my Invisilign last January and they have been great through the process. I go every 4 to 5 weeks and they are ready to receive me without waiting and I get taken care of often in less than 15 minutes.
I really think he has a great team around him as they all can answer my questions and whatever adjustments are needed the hold my hand during the process.
I live 35 miles away and picked him based on the good reviews.

Dr. Colleran has been my dentist for many years and has taken great care of me! All of his dental assistances are so friendly and awesome. Big shout out to Sonya who works the front desk and will treat you like her own child and I just love Ray who did a fabulous job whitening my teeth with the "zoom whitening" system. She rocks!

Let me start by saying Dr Collaren was great. As a patient with very low expectations usually only in for routine teeth cleanings, I'm very easy to please. The experience itself wasn't bad, but what happened after my preventative,
super simple, basic teeth cleaning procedure was not acceptable from a professional business. I work at a large company in town, so most providers are pros with the insurance we have.
As with any check in process, I provided my insurance information. I moved across town, so my address changed but I never received a single bill. I did not have one single voicemail

Results: 2 out of 5.
Most of my visits have resulted in late starts and incomplete service due to factors not made clear to me, resulting in an additional visit. "It's taking longer than planned" gets old the second, let alone the third or fourth
