Services
While keeping your four-legged family member healthy certainly begins with you, you don't have to manage everything on your own. With the pet wellness exams we provide here in Altamonte Springs, you can stay up to speed with your dog's or cat's treatments and help them stay protected from diseases they might encounter in their lifetime.
Vaccines are a major factor in your pet's healthcare and can provide significant protection against deadly viruses, including rabies and distemper. Here in Altamonte Springs, FL, we offer a variety of cat and dog vaccinations to protect and support every pet with regard for their unique needs and lifestyle.
Dental disease is the most common health problem affecting our four-legged family members, but it doesn't have to be! While a lack of routine dental care and teeth cleanings can unfortunately lead to tartar buildup and potential infection in the mouth, these and other oral health problems can be prevented.
While it is entirely natural for our dogs and cats to want to mate and have litters, this behavior can result in far too many animals living in shelters and on the streets. What's more, their hormonal behaviors can cause conflict in the home and pose difficulties for many pet owners, which, sadly, often leads to animals being surrendered to shelters.
Westmonte Animal Clinic is well-equipped to provide an array of routine and sometimes complex surgeries, from spays and neuters to mass removals and bladder stone removals. We'll make your pet's comfort and safety our highest priorities, with pre-anesthetic blood work required beforehand to confirm they're healthy and diligent monitoring throughout to keep them in stable condition.

I took my 9 yr old Goldendoodle in because she was having a severe allergic reaction. Very concerned because she was no longer eating and throwing up at all hours. After I brought Molly in to get checked, Westmonte Animal Clinic was able to bring my girl back to good health!! A relief to see my dog happy not to be in pain.

Took my kitty in for the first time here and I was very pleased! The office was clean and smelt great unlike some places I’ve tried in the past. The receptionist was great and got us right in, same day, for my baby’s yearly shots and exam. The vet and vet tech were great as well! They took great care of my kitty cat and you can tell they genuinely care for the animals they treat. I’m happy to have found an awesome vet I can count on! I’ll be back here for all my kitty vet trips. :)

By far the most compassionate vet we have ever seen. They were kind, followed up on our fur baby after he became ill, and kept him comfortable until we had to make the tough decision to let him go. They will not pressure you into procedures or therapies that will not work, or attempt to prolong your animals life for the sake of making money. They were honest and upfront with every option, gave advice, and supported us through every tough decision. I truly couldn't speak higher of Westmonte Animal Clinic. Another vet we saw prior to here improperly diagnosed our cat, wanted to add test upon test

Wow what a drastic change from our last vet! We adopted our pup in May and used the vet who the rescue used, both for convenience and because we trusted the rescue's pick. That vet was ok but boy, the difference is light and day with Dr. Matagrano! We were seen promptly and we could hear the front desk verifying who you are AND who your pet is/why the pet was being seen. The waiting area and individual exam rooms were so clean. They informed us of the vet tech's name and the vet tech was awesome! She got down on the floor and played with my pup before doing any exams to make sure she

We love Dr. Lisa and her staff! My dog actually enjoys going to the vet now and oddly enough getting on their scale. I'm so happy that we found them because we've had some pretty bad experiences elsewhere. Dr. Lisa actually cares about my dog and we never feel rushed when we're there. She takes the time to listen and address all of my questions and concerns. Believe me, I usually come with a list. I have a bulldog who happens to be hot little mess so we usually need an appointment last minute and they're always able to accommodate us. If you're looking for a place that

The first few times I took my cat here I was extremely happy. However, economic things came to pass and I wasn't even taking myself to the doctor let alone my cat. Priorities being what they are I took my cat, Tyson, to the doctor before myself because he has developed a foggy eye with a growth (hopefully just a cataract). The vet took a look and was without a dang clue. She said she had to check her eye book or cat book...At the end of the visit nearly 400 or 500 dollars later I'm told, yeah Uhm he's probably fine...let us know if he starts to seem bothered by the foggy eye. I give

My wife took our dog for skin infection 3 times and paid about $800.infection never went away and all they had to say was bring it back in for other appointment. that would cost another 200 something she told them she just lost her job due to cancer and they said nothing they can do about it. These people are a money pit they do not care for the animals.

We started taking our dog Buddy to Westmonte Animal Clinic right after we adopted him from Seminole County Animal shelter. We find the staff there to be very professional and very nice. They treat Buddy as he was a member of their family. The office is very clean and I did not notice that strong odor that I remember experiencing at other Vet offices we have used in the past. The prices for services seem to be on par with other clinics in the area charge. If you have a new pet, or are currently looking for a new veterinarian for your four legged child, then I recommend that you give Dr Matagrano

I rescued my cat Cosmo less than two weeks ago from the Orange County Animal Shelter and he was having some definite issues- though not in personality though :) I had never had an animal before and was clueless as to how vet visits go and what happens with them (expectations, fees, what to bring, etc.). Upon entering Westmonte I felt so welcomed- the staff all care 100%, everyone is personable and professional, and there is a true warmth to their care. They followed up personally and even sent a lovely card in the mail. Highly recommend! I have decided that even though they're in another county

I recently rescued my pup from Orange County Animal Services and had to find a new vet for her. Thankfully, I'd always pass this one since it's so close to home. I checked out all of the positive reviews and decided to give it a shot. To my surprise, they waive the first exam fee for rescued dogs within 2 weeks of adoption. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!? The vet and staff were absolutely amazing while we were there. To make things even sweeter, they called me the next day to check on my new pup AND sent me a welcome card in the mail within the week! Definitely recommend!

I don't know, hard to be the one in a bunch of glowing reviews, but:
Brought our cat here for allergy issues.
They gave us an antibiotic that immediately caused chronic and horrible diarrhea everywhere... to the point where when we called them 3 days later, they said to immediately stop giving him the med.
Then, for 2 weeks after we stopped giving the med, the cat continued to have bad diarrhea and refused to eat.
So hey. bring him in and we'll charge you a fee and we'll sell you prescription food.
Ok. So another 2 weeks after that and the cat STILL has chronic diarrhea and now

Let me tell you something about my cat: she's a real diva. Every cat stereotype that's out there, she's basically that. So when it came time to bring her to the vet I was biting my nails with anxiety. She's my baby and I was worried for her AND I was worried for the people that would have to deal with her.
Now I ended up not going along for the appointment but I got a surprising report back from my boyfriend. I guess the staff knew how to win her over. She didn't hiss or scratch at anyone and she even came out of her crate. I was told they said they wished more cats were

Our thirteen-year-old female cat was starting to pass blood clots, so for the first time in a long time, she went to the vet. The reviews brought me to Westmonte and I couldn't be happier.
They diagnosed a bladder infection, pumped her full of fluids and antibiotics and the improvement was almost immediate. She had a followup today and still has the infection, but it's improved. She goes back in two weeks.
Can't say enough about Dr Lisa, Heather and Bianca, who keep you abreast of everything, from treatment to cost, each step of the way. And most importantly, they have great personalties

I recently adopted an amazing pup that had a few health issues and I unfortunately did not know of any good (& decently priced vets) in the area since I recently moved to Orlando. I asked around and looked on Yelp & decided to book an appointment at Westmonte Animal Clinic.
I originally brought in Pepper for her spay but was unable to do so because of a few health issues that I was unaware of but Dr. Matagrano noticed right away.
Pepper is on the road to being once healthy canine thanks to the care provided by Dr. Matagrano & her staff. They are always so sweet with my pup and explain

Dr. Lisa is amazing and her staff is amazing. They treat our animals as if they were their own.
They are aware of any financial issues and always discuss those upfront before any treatments (it gets kind of pricey when you have an elder cat, an elder rescue, and a rambunctious scallywag like our young cat. Having 3 quadrupeds is pricey but they've always found a way to fit our budget) What's even worse if you have 3 cats and they all have dietary needs and allergies! Dr. Lisa fixed that for us through a lot of trial and error. We worked with her to find the correct food to feed
