Roofers are skilled journeymen and apprentices that work on all types of roofing systems. Their scope of work ranges from all applied and removal of slate, tile, shingles, PVC, EPDM, PIB, CPE, ECB and other related materials to help bind, seal and insulate structures from weathering effects. Union members earn better wages and benefits than roofers who are nonunion members.

We have the largest jurisdiction in the state of Indiana, covering 36 counties. For over 83 years, our local has mastered the application & removal of high-quality roofing systems. Through exclusive union training & education, working with premium grade materials, and using today's cutting-edge technologies; We as a local strive to be preeminent leaders and innovators of our trade.
Apprenticeship programs sponsored jointly by labor and management on the local union level, supplies employers with the highly skilled workers, who apply the quality roofing and waterproofing systems that keep Central Indiana's buildings dry. Apprentices learn their craft by training on the job under proper supervision and by studying technical subjects related to the roofing trade at the training center/apprenticeship school.
