I have had some good experiences with other insurance agents, and some not so good. Mitch (and his team) stands head and shoulders above the rest -- he is the only agent that I would wholeheartedly recommend. Terrific, in every way. Knowledgeable, responsive, professional, proactive, empathetic, and all the other good adjectives. I would also say that we did a careful price comparison when we joined several years ago and State Farm was very competitive... but I haven't had any desire to price compare since then because we so appreciate the level of service that Mitch and his team provide.

There is nothing better than having an insurance company where you actually talk to local people who truly know you. Mitch Ratzlaff's State Farm Agency is just such a place. Whenever I have an issue that cannot be quickly solved by one of his team Mitch is on the line working it out himself. Mitch truly values every customer and has no issue sacrificing some income if it means providing customers only what they need. Mitch has never once tried to sell me anything unnecessary and has on occasion discouraged me from purchasing a product I thought I needed but really did not. Ratzlaff State Farm is

Roger & I first moved to Oregon in 1988. We needed insurance & lived in west Salem so went to the closest State Farm office which the agent was John Ratzlaff. That was one of the best
Decisions we made. John was not only the best agent one could ask for, so knowledgable & so helpful but became a very dear friend. And not just to us but everyone who walked through his door. He loved his family & talked always about them including his beloved son Mitch. So when John passed even though he was 20-30 miles away we knew we wanted Mitch to take over as our agent. And again we’re blessed with Mitch

We have done business with Mitch for about ten years. In addition to being thoroughly professional, he and his staff are very efficient. If you call, a real person answers the phone and usually can take care of your needs immediately. When we have a more complex question, Mitch is available to to hear our concerns and explain the best solution face to face, in person. He never seems to be rushed or impatient, even when we are confused or indecisive.

Mitch and his staff are always professional and courteous. I recently called to get a refresher on what exactly my policy covers, and Mitch answered all my questions and made sure what I had is still a good fit for me. I appreciate that his office does not push for policies that are unnecessary and works to get me as many discounts as possible. I've been with this office for years and am confident in their work and in the value they place on their customers.

Mitch took the time to discuss both benefits and drawbacks of our existing policies and explained what they could offer in a very frank and comprehensible manner. He got us insurance that is a great fit for our family. His honesty was refreshing- he even hand-delivered some of the forms to our home.
