Make a sketch of your lot and then measure with a tape or wheel the area you wish to sod. Measure the length in feet. Measure the width in feet. Multiply this together and then divide that total by 9. This will tell you how many square yards you will need. If you need help just call! Try and square everything in your measurements even around a bed area or around a sidewalk as that will help when allowing for trim work.
Make a sketch of your lot and then measure the area you wish to sod. Calculate the square feet of sod needed (length in feet x width in feet) then divide by 9 to convert to square yards. Prepare the lot by grading or raking so that soil slopes away from foundations and building so as to eliminate drainage problems.
It is essential to begin watering new turf grass sod within a half hour after it is laid on the soil. Apply at least 1in (2.5cm) of water so that the soil beneath the turd is very wet. Ideally the soil 3 to 4 inches. Watering Tip #1: Pull back a corner of the turf and push a screwdriver or other sharp tool into the soil.
Once your lawn is established, fertilize and water only as necessary to maintain a turf tight enough to resist weed invasion and to keep the grass in a healthy condition so that it is producing adequate growth for a fresh, neat appearance. Dull mower blades chew the grass rather than clip it, leaving it with a scarred appearance and in an unhealthy condition.

I have been using Williams sod company for at least 10 years and they never disappoint. The receptionist, Linda, has on more than one occasion gone out of her way to help me with my needs. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of a nice, beautiful lawn.

William's has been my go to for sod for years, They put the sod in my front yard when it was new 15 years ago. I also bought the sod from them to do my back yard myself. Their crew sodded four new homes next to me last year. They looked great going in and still look almost as good as my lawn. Warren was careful and considerate not to raise the… ditches or cause drainage issues when he did that install. They have always been willing sell me a pallet or two when I have a new project. If you have a new construction or need a do over, I highly recommend them! Eric

We have been in business for over 35 years. We specialize in new home construction and work for most of the major builders . Sean G posted a negative review because he has 2 large dogs in a tiny backyard that continue to wear out any grass he could hope to have. Sean G if our sod was so bad , why did you continually try and purchase more after you were advised your dogs were only going to destroy it. After this review, we went on and landscaped and installed sod at the new vet clinic where Sean G worked! It was a beautiful install and have received a lot of compliments and business from it . 0 stars! Last week I called to schedule a sod pickup. Williams requires that you have a trailer with no ramp so after much discussion, they said I could rent an inclosed U-Haul trailer and that would be fine. I rented the trailer on Wednesday in preparation for picking up sod Thursday morning. 7:30am Thursday morning as I am driving to their farm… I receive a call from Linda stating they don't have my sod. I asked why not and she could not give me an exact answer and said she would find out and call back no later than 8:15. I sat in a parking lot for ~45min waiting for her call and when
