Dr Jack is a board-certified pediatric dentist and the founder of Sequoia Pediatric Dentistry. At Sequoia, we use tailored behavior guidance techniques to promote a positive dental attitude. Dr Jack Yeung grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego.
You can make your child's first visit enjoyable and positive. Tell your child in advance that they will be meeting some nice grownups that will help them take care of their teeth. For younger children, try reading some children books before your visit. Here at Sequoia Pediatric Dentistry, we have a library of First Dental Visit books available for you to borrow.
If we have received all of your insurance information on the day of the appointment, we will be happy to file your claim for you. You must be familiar with your insurance benefits, as we will collect from you the estimated amount insurance is not expected to pay. Payment for professional services is due at the time dental treatment is provided.

We had our first visit today with my 20 month old and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The office staff are so kind and the dentist is GREAT with kids. He explained everything step by step, took time to bond with my kid and gave me tons of great advice as a parent. I received teething advice, tips on brushing and dental care, and he answered all my questions. The exam was quick and painless. We feel very lucky to have found this practice. Amazing staff and amazing dentist! First time my little one wasn't screaming. Very kind staff and great explanations from Dr. Jack. He was so kind to both kids and had great explanations for my older one. Clean and well organized office with private offices where siblings can be side by side. Highly recommend this place!!

I brought my almost 3-year-old for his first dentist visit, long overdue because of COVID. I was expecting the worst because he's timid and always cries at other doctor's appointments. He did excellently and had no tears, thanks to Janelle and Dr. Jack! They were enthusiastic and extremely patient and kind. They explained all the tools and procedures in a kid-friendly, fun, and clear way. As a former elementary school teacher, I was impressed with the thoughtful strategies they used to set up both parents and kids for success.

We had a great 1st visit experience with Dr. Jack. SPD is an outstanding place for kids that we'd like to recommend for all families in our community.
After a year of COVID staying home, we recently decided to bring our kids back to the dentistry. We were very impressed with how clean the clinic was. The staff member was very friendly and professional. Our kids liked the place and started to realize the importance to brush their teeth after the visit. We even got the 1st time visit photo from the clinic! Thank you, SPD and see you in 6 months.

It has been such a pleasant experience. I went with my two kids and it was my daughter's first dental appointment. I was nervous but they made it so easy for both kids and their mom. Special shout out to Jenel she was calm, smiling and kept the kids engaged. Dr. Jack is so very patient. There was no wait which was awesome. This review is long overdue. We have two littles ones and the staff at Sequoia Dentistry have consistently been profession and incredibly kind to us. Dr. Jack is personable, informative and fantastic with kids. My three year old, Sebastian, loves going to the dentist and tells his friends every time we have an appointment how great the dentist is. We had a baby during the pandemic and they have added safety protocols that make me feel confident that my kids aren't being exposed to anything. I could not recommend this place more. I wish you accepted adults so our entire family could be seen

We've heard great things about this practice and I was about to take my kids here. However, they were unable to assure that they'd assign a dental hygienists that is fully vaccinated to my children during their cleaning. She only confirm that Dr. Jack received the COVID-19 vaccine. Since most of the time and close contact is with non-dentist staff/hygienist, we'll delay the cleaning or find another practice that accommodates our risk tolerance. I'm disappointed that they do not go above and beyond to protect their clients.

My experience at Dr. Jack's office was professional, considerate and genuine. His receptionist and nurse were both friendly and warm and handled check in/out very efficiently. Side note the office is immaculately clean. Looking forward to the next dental appointment....which I have never been able to say until now.

We had originally found them on Yelp and saw that there were over one hundred 5-star reviews, so we decided to check them out and I am very happy with our decision. We were able to submit all of the pre-visit paperwork ahead of time through their online portal. Their staff was very friendly and efficient with scheduling our appointment. I even had to change the time and they were very flexible. I appreciate that with a toddler who's schedule changes constantly.

Where do I start, it was my minis first time visiting.
When we got there the entire staff was Covid safe and we felt warm and welcome and in a safe place. When we arrived there was a sign with my daughters name welcoming her, it was a very thoughtful touch.
When the doctor came in he was amazing with my daughter and explained to her what he would be using and let her touch them and feel them.

After our usual pediatric dentist office not responding to my outreaches for an urgent visit, we were accepted by Sequoia Pediatric Dentistry, and I am so glad to have found them! That visit was about a month ago for an exam of my 6 year old's incoming adult teeth that were growing behind the baby teeth rather than pushing them out, but Iuckily we were also able to do a routine check up and cleaning. I just got home from my son's first dentist apt at Sequoia Pediatric Dentistry and the experience couldn't have been better. The front desk staff, dental hygienist and Dr. Jack were all amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
