I paid them over $30,000 to install a 10-ton and a 3-ton system in a warehouse building I built, and the 10-ton Carrier system they installed didn't have an idler pulley, which caused the system to constantly throw belts, and require maintenance. They would not stand behind repairing the system so that it would work properly, claiming it was a design flaw from the manufacturer. When I recently relocated to a new facility, the new landlord wanted me to use them to install a 5-ton system in our warehouse, and to service two 3-ton systems in the office areas. This is honestly one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with. I had a good history of them working with me in the past. They installed the original geo unit in my house so I have continued to do business with them just based on familiarity alone. About 10 years ago, we had a misunderstanding about payment method after installing a new external pump. They used the card on file which was expired after I told them to bill me directly and not by my card on file (I was between debit cards at the moment). This eventually resulted in a late payment. I have used K&M Shillingford for 12 years. However, in the last few years their service has really become lacking. We were needing to replace a few of our units and wanted them to come out and give us an estimate. They never showed. I called them again and waited all day and they never showed. Their excuse was "we are busy". Six months later my unit went out in the hottest month of the year. I was told it would be 1-3 months before they could install a new new unit! When I told them we could not wait a month they again said "we are busy". I will never use them
