North Branford Family Chiropractic and Wellness Center is a modern facility known for its range of Chiropractic techniques and other services. Gonstead is a very specific technique. In order to give a specific adjustment, the Gonstead Chiropractor first needs to find the specific locations of the subluxations by doing a complete and thorough examination.
Upon graduating, Dr. O'Loughlin became an Associate at Central Connecticut Chiropractic in Cheshire, Connecticut, where he worked alongside Dr. Luigi DiRubba. Helping patients achieve their optimal health is Dr. O'Loughlin's passion and priority. Whether a patient is an infant, child, teenager, adult, or senior, Dr. O'Loughlin's knowledge, skills, and expertise allow him to individualize care according to each patient's unique needs.
In simplest terms, a subluxation a.k.a. Vertebral Subluxation) is when one or more of the bones of your spine (vertebrae) move out of position and create pressure on, or irritate spinal nerves. Spinal nerves are the nerves that come out from between each of the bones in your spine. This pressure or irritation on the nerves then causes those nerves to malfunction and interfere with the signals traveling over those nerves.
This is a representation of one type of subluxation. A subluxation, as defined by the Association of Chiropractic Colleges is: "A subluxation is a complex of functional and/or structural and/or pathological articular changes that compromise neural integrity and may influence organ system function and general health."

Dr. Mark is one of the best Chiropractor’s that I have visited. He is accurate in his adjustments and always seems to know what needs adjustment the most. I started visiting him before getting lymes disease. I believe that his adjustments helped in my recovery from lymes and Bells Palsy. He is honest and easy to communicate with. The best part is he is able to get you in quickly as where some other places will ask you to wait weeks or even months for a first visit.

I was basically just getting through the day, chronic sciatic nerve pain and back pain, after only a couple sessions I felt fantastic and now can do outdoor activities I only dreamed about for years! My boyfriend recommended Dr. Mark to me and I've been pleasantly surprised with my experience to date. It's clear the Dr. Mark has invested a considerable amount in the tools required to thoroughly evaluate his patients, so he can take the guesswork out of that part of the process.
