The first time I worked with this company, outcomes was excellent. More recently, they have not been responsive. I probably would be giving a 5 star rating if I could get them to respond and return!

My mother used Hartney Greymont for many many years at our family home in Brookline Mass. When we needed some trees down, here at my own home, it was a Given I would call them to do the work. The crew was fantastic and personable. They are very well trained and skilled. I would recommend them without hesitation!

Daniel Cohen, Arborist, provided a complimentary consultation. Three large trees were trimmed. A brace cable was added to the double-trunk elm tree, to prevent the trunks from separating in a storm. Staff was prompt and precise. Excellent results.

Hartney Greymont employees were professional, punctual and exhibited excellent safety awareness. The Company's arborist providing excellent service and communication. Their emphasis on valuing trees and the benefits they provide, while ensuring worker safety was apparent in how the employees performed extensive pruning work on tall trees. The workers were efficient, yet careful. We will hire them again and I recommend them highly.

Hartney is the premier tree service company in the state. I've had the pleasure of working with Patrick Boyle and he's always my first call whenever clients of ours have questions about their trees. Our most recent experience with Pat & Hartney was after a stone delivery truck scraped a large chunk of bark off of a beautiful old oak. Pat came out, assessed the situation, and explained the concept of bark tracing to help the tree recover. A week later one of his experts came out and meticulously carved away the damaged, crumpled bark and I'm convinced saved the tree. Thanks Pat & Hartney!

I had initially called another tree service company rated very high. After they cancelled the consult and never rescheduled (I called 3 times) I was very pleased with the immediate and incredibly friendly response from Hartney Greymont Co. Russell Holman was wonderful. We have woods surrounding us and sev oaks. They needed to be pruned and removed. He was knowledgeable, explained what projects needed to be done, and even worked with the city to have trees trimmed that could fall and damage our property. His estimate included an offer for winter work since nothing was immediate danger...most appreciated

I'm going to start these guys off with a 4. Only because my experience so far is limited and only with one of their arborists.

We have 8 fruit trees in our yard, and a few other trees. This year we didn't do any special treatment for them and it ended up being a tough season. half of our trees didn't produce to the level we'd expect and to top it off, the heavy spring rains made many Boston area trees sick -including ours.
