It all started back in 1864 when 28-year-old German immigrant Andrew Krempp, Sr., moved to the United States. Andrew eventually settled into the materials and construction businesses, beginning with road construction and general supply in 1877. His son Andrew B. Krempp soon followed and quickly became known as a pioneer in the construction field, building most of the area's first rock roads.
The building materials and construction company opened in the early 1900's and operated as Traylor & Krempp. In 1918, Andrew B. Krempp acquired Traylor's equity in the company and was joined by son Edwin in 1923. They formally incorporated as The Krempp Lumber Company in 1928.

The Krempp family traces its first public construction project to 1877 when Andrew Krempp was awarded a contract of $149.00 for the grading of East Sixth Street in Jasper. Here at Krempp Construction, we are very proud of our long history of successfully completed projects.
