When carbamide peroxide, the active whitening agent, contacts water, hydrogen peroxide is released which whitens the teeth. Bleaching does not soften, demineralize or weaken the teeth. There is a pad or disk that separates the jaw bone from the base of the skull. The primary cause of the "popping" occurs when you open your mouth too wide and the jaw bone "pops" off the pad or disk.
Ever seen those videos where someone puts a baby tooth in a glass of soda and watches it decay? Well, the effect of soda in an actual mouth is a bit different. You have your saliva to help wash away the sugar, you eat other things throughout the day, and brush at least twice a day to remove debris or plaque.

This dentist....this team...is amazing. I have anxiety for days from a past experience that really traumatized me...and this place makes it all not so bad anymore. They care so much about my comfort level...and hold my hand...and let me cry...lol. and the front desk ladies are so accommodating and friendly! I've got another filling and crown to go....but I'm home here. ❤️

Tiffany and Dr Winans are super nice! Had a great visit very professional and on time. Tiffany was great at explaining as she did her evaluation which help to ease my worries. Dr Winans was also very friendly knowledgeable and took time to explain the problem the causes and the options available. Overall it was the best visit to the dentist I have ever experienced.
