Services
Do I have to struggle with disordered eating to come to the Center? No! Although, Dr. Smitham and Dr. Van Tuinen both specialize in eating disorder treatment, they have each graduated from doctoral programs offering "generalist" training. This means that they are trained in research supported treatments for most mental health conditions.
Evaluation and individual/couples'/family therapy sessions are typically 45-50 minutes in length at the rate of $160/session. Extended 90 minute sessions are available upon request at the rate of $240/session. Group therapy sessions are 90 minutes in length at the rate of $60/session. Clear Horizons is considered an "out of network provider" with most major insurance companies.

Regardless of whether you are interested in individual, couples', or family therapy, your journey with us will begin with a diagnostic evaluation. Please call your insurance provider to verify your mental health benefits and complete the "Insurance Information Form" prior to attending this diagnostic evaluation/first appointment.

My review is of Lora Smitham. Let me be clear in that I have never seen her. She was listed on my provider list through Blue Cross Blue Shield I called the number listed for her under Clear Horizons and there is no ID’d voice mail but I left messages 3 different times and never even got a return call. I also emailed and received a follow up email about 8 days later saying she was very busy and asking about my insurance and availability. I immediately responded and never heard back.
