Blossom Pediatric Dentistry, formally known as Ann Arbor Dental Specialists, has been providing comprehensive, quality pediatric dental and orthodontic care to children in our community since 1966. With our advanced training, we specialize in providing care for all children, including those with special needs and patients requiring complex dental and orthodontic treatment.
Pediatric dentists can be considered pediatricians of dentistry receiving an additional 2-3 years of training. Orthodontists are dental specialists who diagnose and treat problems with the position, alignment or spacing of the teeth. Pediatric dentists are specially trained to provide comprehensive treatment to patients with special health care needs.

Services
We are the only combined orthodontic and pediatric dental specialists in town! Having both specialists in the same practice means more convenience for you and your family. We do our best to combine dental appointments with orthodontic appointments as well as combining sibling appointments. Having both specialists in the same office also improves communication between your child's dental health providers.
It's never too early to get your child started on the path toward a lifetime of good oral health, and there are many services we provide to do exactly that. Monitoring your child's dental growth and development, and preventing and intercepting dental diseases along the way, is a primary focus of our practice.
Our pediatric dental practice was established in 1976. Dr. Barber joined the practice in 2014, and purchased it in 2018. This is a multi-specialty office that includes specialists in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. The practice is located in the South-East corner of the city of Ann Arbor.
We love Blossom Pediatric Dentistry! I have twin 11 year old boys, who have had previous major anxiety about the dentist. Not with Dr. Barber. She has an amazing bedside manner, that puts my children at ease. She's very quick and efficient, and her sweet and friendly personality is a pleasure to be around.
Pediatric dentists have an additional 2-3 years of specialty training following dental school, and can be considered the pediatricians of the oral cavity. Pediatric dentists specialize in the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as the overall oral health of infants through teens.
Our doctors all have advanced training in treatment and behavior management techniques for children with anxiety or unique behavioral needs, as well as children with special health care needs. We also work closely with parents and children to educate and identify potential causes of dental problems, with general oral health and the prevention of cavities being the goal!

Report
The staff and doctors are wonderful and my children receive great care. I would not recommend Blossom, however. The hours, 8 to 5 with an hour break for lunch, are not conducive to any parents’/child’s’ schedules. The Ortho hours are even worse as they are only available on Tuesday and Wednesday. I admit I should have researched the hours prior to using the Ortho services. Putting this critique here to save other parents from this same mistake.
