Highland Garden Designs
Neale Fitzhugh, owner and founder of Highland Garden Designs, Inc., grew up in Tuscaloosa and received a degree in Horticulture from Auburn University in 2004. After graduation, he began working for landscape companies around the state, supervising large and small residential and commercial landscape projects.

He returned to Tuscaloosa nine years ago and started his own company in 2013. Neale and Emily Fitzhugh also started their family here and have been very busy watching both their children and their business grow. Highland Garden Designs is prepared to handle design, installation and maintenance of landscape projects tailored to the needs of your property.

Landscape lighting is the finishing touch to the redesign of your home's exterior. Providing both functionality and a soft radiance to your home's nighttime appearance, lighting makes outside spaces usable throughout much of the year. Exterior lighting also enhances home security and adds value to your home.
The Highland Garden Designs team has years of experience designing and implementing attractive and functional hardscapes, from patios and koi ponds to stone walkways and retaining walls. For maximum usability of your outdoor space, let us create a firepit that will be fun for summer night marshmallow roasts or a chilly night drinking wine with friends.
Trees are an important element of any landscape design. They can serve as a focal point or as background for colorful shrubs, annuals and perennial plantings. For outdoor enjoyment, there is no better place to spend a peaceful afternoon than in a shaded garden. Trees can also be a practical element of design, serving to reduce in-home energy costs up to 50% by deflecting direct heat from your home's exterior.

Critical: Responsiveness
I have tried multiple times to contact someone for an estimate without response. I've left a voicemail, tried to contact through the website and even sent a text to the number listed on the website.
