Services
Built in 1886 this Italianate Victorian Home became Bream & Lange Funeral Home in 1953. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Bream sold his interest to partner, Mark I. Lange, changing the name to Lange Funeral Home. Mark Lange operated the funeral home until his death in 1981. In 1984, his daughter, Amy Lange Kenyon, bought the funeral home continuing the family tradition of personal service to the community.
Amy Lange Kenyon is a native of Lockport. She graduated from Lockport Senior High School and State University of New York at Canton. She received her Funeral Directors License in 1982 and became Manager of Lange Funeral Home. In 1984, she purchased and incorporated the business. Since then, Amy has continued the family tradition of personal and professional service to the Lockport community.
No matter if a death is sudden, or if it something that was a long time coming, the loss of a loved one makes us feel emotional and overwhelmed. No amount of preparation can fully prepare you for the loss of a loved one. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering.
Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation, followed by a funeral service in a church, or other place of worship. The casket is typically present at both these events, and it is your decision on whether to have the casket open or not. You have the option of having the remains interred (earth burial), or it may be entombed in a crypt inside a mausoleum (above ground burial).
