At the time of your arrest, the police officer likely presented you with a Notice of Suspension/Temporary Driving Permit (DIC - 25). Hopefully you have thoroughly read this document and are aware that your driver's license will automatically be suspended 40 days from the date of arrest (or the date you were served with the notice, whichever is later) unless you or your attorney requests a hearing in the manner prescribed by law.
The Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test is the first test that is supposed to be administered by the police officer. This is the "Pen Test" where a pen (or other stimulus) is passed in front of your face back and forth in order for the officer to determine if HGN is present in your eyes. Law enforcement claims that the HGN test is 88% accurate at determining if someone is 0.08 or above.

Texas law requires that a request for a hearing to keep your license must be made within 15 days from the date of your DWI arrest. If you fail to hire an attorney, and a hearing is not requested, you waive the opportunity to fight the license suspension. In short, the sooner you act the better chance I will have in providing the best DWI defense you need.

Hunter is great, and Troy Burleson is my hero. Yes, Hunter is not the nicest person I have ever met, but after arguing with him for a few minutes I realized this is exactly what I want from an attorney. I feel like I got 2x my money's worth. This guy is the most sincere and can seek a good person when he sees one. Mr. hunter helped my finance fight a DWI off his record today. He took his time and also set with both of us to tell us every option before agreeing to pleading guilty. He stayed positive and always face the good with the bad. I had first heard about this law firm through a friend saying how they saved her life! I was a young man in deep trouble, with hope tho I contacted this law firm. With our first meeting I knew these guys were the ones for me! I felt as if they were looking for MY BEST INTERESTS NO MATTER WHAT. I was treated very rudely by an arrogant attorney who didn't want to have a consultation. He wanted to get money and that's it. Hunter Biederman is your go to guy for hard cases. I have had multiple friends/clients use his services. Although Hunter might be expensive, he shoots it straight and is by far the best defense attorney in Collin County. He's legally obligated to protect your best interests when you hire him. Trust Him! Some counties have 2 courthouses - what if you show up at the wrong one? There's multiple overlapping jurisdictions everywhere (City of Dallas sits inside multiple counties, etc), creating legal nuances that no beginner would figure out without extensive research
