Building solid relationships, fostering innovation and delivering quality projects safely. W.R. Dunkin & Son, Inc. is the outgrowth of a partnership established in 1915 in Carroll County, Indiana by W. R. Dunkin and his son, Glenn F. Dunkin. W. R. Dunkin was a carpenter and Glenn was a brick mason.
Over the course of time the company moved its home office to Huntington, then to Bluffton. In 1951 the firm settled in Anderson to be more centrally located in the state. Richard W. Dunkin, Glenn's son, joined the business after World War II, where he served in the Army Air Force and completed 2 tours of combat duty in North Africa and Italy flying fighter planes (P-40, P-47 and P-51).

The Construction Management-Advisor delivery system is generally a more collaborative approach. The architect and CM are hired as separate entities charged with working together to develop the construction program.
While the architect and construction manager work together, they have very different responsibilities that will provide a system of checks and balances to protect the owner's interests throughout the design, construction and post construction processes. Our Pre-Construction services will be utilized to insure confidence that when the construction documents are released to bidders the project will be on-budget.

With the design-build project delivery method, W.R. Dunkin is the single point of contact for both the design and construction of a project. The owner contracts with the Design-Builder to manage the architectural, engineering and construction services necessary to complete the project. This creates a streamlined process that simplifies the owner's involvement throughout the project.
