Services
Engagement sessions are the best! It's a chance for my wife (my second shooter) and me to get to know more about the couple and hang out and get awesome photos together. We of course have some great places near our studio to take engagement sessions, but we are always happy when a couple wants us to visit them at their place or farm or nearby park that has special meaning to them.
We have a full studio for formal portraits, but our true love is "environmental portraits". These are outside portraits on location at a nearby park or another scenic location. For young children coming to a studio can be intimidating, so we are happy to come to your home where your child will feel comfortable and are more likely to show their true character.
If you want to save some of your hard-earned cash and have a skill or building materials etc. - we may be able to work with you on a trade for our photography (or wedding chapel) services. Contact me and we can discuss what would be mutually beneficial so you can get the professional quality photography you need and we can get items for our wedding chapel or photography studio etc.

Chris was very on top of his photography game during our wedding. He managed to capture many of the small moments that we missed and helped make sure that we could keep ahold of these memories for the future.
It doesn’t hurt that the photographs turned out pretty well too!

Chris and Mary Holmes did a great job with our "covid" style wedding by accommodating our simple wedding without guests, providing a great venue with the Bridge Street Wedding Chapel, and wonderful pictures of our special day as well. The chapel was everything we were looking for, providing awesome backdrops for pictures, the music quality was great, and the officiating by Mary was excellent. They even provided a witness, which was much appreciated. Thank you very much Chris and Mary!

We had our daughter's wedding at The Bridge Street Wedding Chapel and had an absolutely amazing experience! Chris and his wife were very accomodating and a sincere pleasure to work with. It made our experience very memorable. We also used Holmes Photography for the wedding pictures and were extremely pleased!! They did a fantastic job with the photos - great quality. And we received the photoes in a very timely fashion. I would highly recommend using both Holmes Photography and the Bridge Street Wedding Chapel. You will be very happy with their services:-)

From the first time I spoke with Chris, I knew he was the photographer I wanted to capture my son's senior photos. My son can be a little too laid back about important life's moments and Chris let my son set the pace and had him smiling for the pictures like he hasn't smiled for pictures in years. The photos are exactly what I wanted and more important, my son loves the pictures that will remind him of Grand Ledge. We are having a hard time deciding which pictures we want for the larger sizes. Would highly recommend Holmes Photography. They are personable and friendly. We felt comfortable with them taking pictures of us all day. Engagement and wedding pictures turned out better than expected. They were very flexible and accommodating to our schedule. They were even patient and managed to get great pictures of our constantly moving hyper dog! I would recommend them for any of your photography needs.
