Located on the coast of eastern North Carolina, Susan Yates Photography became known for its newborn and family photography artwork in 2010. Susan Yates Photography helps create one-of-a-kind portraits out of life's most cherished moments for families across eastern North Carolina and families visiting the Crystal Coast.

These moments can be relived with investing in hiring a professional photographer to document and create priceless photos that can be displayed on your walls and in albums to be cherish and passed down throughout future generations.
I began my journey in photography over 10 years ago after my son was born and I would have never dreamed that I'd be sharing my passion with other families today. As a photographer and a mom, I understand how easy it is to take quick snapshots of our children and families with our phones, but I still believe in the value of a quality, printed photograph.
I offer a variety of options when it comes to bringing your photos to life and turning a photo file into a piece of art. Photo albums, prints, canvas wall art, framed photos and digital images are available. In the digital age we are in today, I strongly believe in making it a priority to print your images after your session, as they will become a piece of art that will deliver feelings of love and memories that will surround you everyday.
I do offer sessions at clients homes. All sessions are held at a location of your choice. They can be held at your home, favorite park, beach etc. If you are unsure of where you would like it held we can discuss options and what location would work best for you. Newborn sessions are always held in the clients homes or at an outdoor location (during warmer weather months) if the parent chooses to do so.

We booked a photo session with Susan Yates when we planned our vacation in Atlantic Beach. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would. Susan captured our family perfectly! She was so patient with our rambunctious kids. My favorite photos are the candid ones that show genuine emotion. We will definitely book with Susan again when we return to NC.

Susan was great to work with. She was very flexible and easy going. I got pictures for my boyfriend and he was at first nervous about taking them, but Susan had many suggestions and was very comfortable to work with. The pictures came out beautiful and we got a lot more than expected, which was awesome as they all were wonderful! I would definitely call her again as well as recommend her to anyone out there looking for beautiful pictures for any occasions!

Susan is absolutely the best family photographer around! She is accommodating and flexible with time,
location, and poses. She has worked with my very hyper daughter for years now. Susan always manages to take fabulous pictures of her, even when my daughter is running around and acting silly. More recently, she has done a newborn session for my very cranky baby boy. Again, the pictures were great! Needless to say, she is very patient with children. She has also taken pictures of our entire family, and they are some of my favorite photos. I would recommend Susan to anyone looking for quality pictures
