Founded over 100 years ago as B.D. Simon Construction, PCE has a history and tradition unmatched by any other construction firm in mid-Missouri. As innovative engineering has been a long-standing core value of our business, we have built some of the most iconic, recognizable structures in the area over the years, including the University of Missouri's Memorial Union in 1922.

In 2000, former PCE Chairman Craig Simon was joined by Andy Bonderer, Wade Horn, and Matt Robe in company leadership positions.

With the Design/Build approach to project management, a single entity is responsible for all aspects of design and construction. The client signs an all-inclusive contract with the designer/builder, who is then accountable for all aspects of project delivery. By removing the multi-tiered structure that can hinder decision-making and follow-through, Design/Build can deliver your building project quickly and less expensively.
PCE's general contracting services provide you with day-to-day oversight of the construction site, provide constant, detailed communication about the progress of the project, and manage any necessary vendors. It is obviously crucial that whatever company you hire is both experienced and skilled in their trade.
Our construction management services provide clients with everything they need throughout each phase of the project from a known and trusted firm. Whether it's a new construction project or something smaller, we are available to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. The Construction Manager (CM) may act as the owner's agent or a CM at risk (contractor).
