Inspired by having been healed for a herniated disc by a chiropractor in Port Huron, Michigan, Dr. James Beno was spared the recommended surgery to his low back, thus giving him his profession. The Beno Clinic Chiropractic Center had its beginning in Professional Arts Building in downtown Petoskey in 1973.
We are pleased to offer a broad range of health, prevention and wellness services to our patients. We love our patients and feel privileged to be able to serve so many wonderful people in our community. We take pride in giving personalized care to infants, children, adults and the elderly. Few people realize that most insurance policies cover chiropractic care.
I received MY pre-med degree in 1966 and served as a US naval medical corpsman on board the USS Chicago during the Viet Nam conflict. In 1969 I married my best friend Linda. In 1973 I graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees completing over 4,400 hours of professional instruction.
Our clinic is conveniently located on M-119 next to the Sheriff's department in Petoskey. It is nestled back off the road in a quiet, peaceful, tranquil setting providing a relaxing atmosphere for healing. There is plenty of no-hassle, convenient parking directly in front of the clinic. Handicap access is available.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Aetna, Priority Health, Cofinity, Cigna, Medicare, United Health Care (some plans may be out of network). Beno Clinic is now in network with Triwest. I wasted years worth time at doctors offices, and TONS of money on antidepressant prescriptions to discover from Dr. Beno that my stress and "depression" could be relieved DRUG FREE through regular chiropractic adjustments performed during high stress times.
The staff are the kindest people, and now Dr. Fiel is continuing the legacy. Very thorough with some additional modern techniques and recent schooling, Dr. Fiel is a GREAT addtion to a well established clinic!

Dr. Beno is great - along with Linda and his whole staff. I highly recommend his professionalism and knowledge. His adjustments are outstanding and Dr. Beno explains everything that he is doing and the benefits of each area of adjustment.
