Services
I am a Licensed Psychotherapist (LPC) in the State of Georgia. I am also a Board Certified Psychotherapist (BCP). I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia and my Masters of Art in Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. I have completed two years of graduate training toward my doctorate in psychology.
Because difficulties impact a variety of areas of life, it is my goal to provide service options that maximize my clients' gains, increase success and maximize confidentiality by efficiently meeting specialized needs while simultaneously offering convenient and real-world, professional solutions. Professional counseling services are provided via office visits, professional phone consultation, and community consultation.
Often, I get calls from potential clients asking if I take insurance. I am not currently on any insurance panels. I honestly believe there are more risks than benefits to using insurance in counseling. You're probably thinking, "Why shouldn't I use my insurance?" The answer isn't necessarily so black-and-white.
As a Licensed Professional Personal Counselor in Cumming, GA, my goal is to provide an open, supportive and confidential environment for you to address the issues that are concerning you. Change is worth the effort and the risk. I know that true change takes time. In the context of our professional work together you will develop new skills and profound insights for managing your life and relationships.
The most important decision you will ever make; second only to your decision to make a life-long commitment to get married. Marriage is a unique, privileged, life-fulfilling, and powerful relationship. Marriage is work, as most anyone will tell you. However, most people fail to tell you what "work" looks like or at what point you should "work" on your marriage.

I am so glad we were referred to Lisa! Our marriage is in a whole new & better place! We've been married 17 years. Our communication has been a disaster for at least the last 5 years. The tension in the marriage and the bickering had gotten ridiculous. Our fist visit with Lisa was excellent--we learned a lot that first day and subsequent visits thereafter. Lisa is warm, gets right to the point and she can be really funny. She feels like an old friend, but things are always kept professional. She helped us with our communication and helped us get a better grasp on what a healthy marriage should

Lisa is not a good therapist she will not listen to you and she will speak her mind for hours and then charge you she’s not interested in your background information nor does she exercise any sort of compassion or listening skills. she will pass judgment on you. A good therapist has listening skills compassion and exercises restraint until someone is comfortable to trust her. It’s unfortunate I hope she doesn’t take your money like she did us. She is a bully.

Lisa is incredible! Our 26 year marriage had become a total %#?! show. I was certain there was no hope for us. The first session I knew Lisa was the therapist for us. She’s all business and she knows what she’s doing. She’s tough but really cares about you and wants to help you keep your marriage strong. She works hard to help you get things sorted out. She really helped us communicate better which was a miracle. There’s probably not enough space to say everything she brought us through, but I am so happy that my wife and I are in a way better place. Without Lisa I am sure we’d have divorced

We had a GREAT experience with Lisa. We got MORE out of 6 SESSIONS with Lisa than we got from nearly 2 years with our old marriage counselor!! I wish we found her 4 years ago!! I was extremely skeptical because my husband and I had done marriage counseling earlier in our marriage for nearly 2 years. When the same problems came up again, I really didn’t think we could be helped (nor could I imagine spending another 2 years in counseling)..If your marriage feels more like a “roommate situation,” than a marriage, we recommend, Lisa!

Sessions were extremely productive as compared to others - I felt like more was accomplished in one session than maybe 2-3 sessions with others, as Lisa is to the point and ready to help. I really appreciate all of her knowledge. Only thing holding back the 5th star was a billing issue that took awhile to resolve. But overall Lisa is excellent at her work and a really great resource.

Lisa is absolutely on point, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Her approach is truly refreshing. She provides excellent feedback, accountability & perspective that challenged my thinking, in my personal and my professional roles. As a busy executive of an international company she was able to work with my demanding travel schedule. I came away from each session with actionable goals and new insights. I highly recommend Lisa Meyer.

Lisa is a wonderful counselor who is very open minded and is able to help you work through thoughts. She has the ability to take your thoughts and concerns and give you unbiased opinions that give much needed clarity in times of personal distress. She is a very educated woman in her field, who is still humble and kind but Is still able to deliver techniques that are very helpful for personal growth.
I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a safe space to get support and guidance.

I am so thankful for Lisa—she helped us save our marriage! After my husband’s affair I was certain we wouldn’t make it, my world was upside down. Lisa got us in quickly, and even after our first session I had hope. Lisa is knowledgeable, engaged and we learned so much—about us and marriage. She is very warm and encouraging (and funny at times), but she’s going to keep you accountable. She will give you feedback and lots of great advice on communication (our biggest problem). She does run late sometimes, but there were days she took extra time with us. If your marriage is a mess, go see

Lisa Meyer is an innately loving person who shares her passion for helping others by offering an environment that is not only welcoming but safe and non judgmental. She offers comfort and insight as well as helps you analyze your thoughts/feelings/and experiences. Most importantly, she can help you heal.
My Personal experience- Ms Lisa came into my life during a time where I struggled with purpose, self confidence and worth. With her help, I am now able to thrive in a world where I once felt like I could barely survive and just "was". I don't know where my life would be without her. I owe a great
