How to best help, teach, guide and care for young children is a vast subject. From this subject there are a lesser number of vital points. 1. Love children 2. Set a good example 3. Demand that other adults and older children set a good example 4. Listen to your child's thoughts and ideas 5. Provide a safe environment 6. Be patient 7. Talk with your child rather than give orders.

8. Be honest. Our Teachers are required, by the state, to have 3 core courses: Child Family and Community, a curriculum course, and Child Growth and Development. Additionally 1 elective is required. Health and Safety is often chosen for this. Our teachers also have current Infant/child CPR and first aide training.

Field trips are an ever changing array of experiences. Our favorite trips are those to the mountains. In January it's off to Sanborn to see the thousands of ladybugs. At Alum Rock and other parks during winter and summer, we hike the many trails, watch the deer, the kids try very hard to catch the squirrels which out run them every time!

This comment is to ask with all due respect, as an enquiry about the condition of your outside playground area that tends to contain an offensive odor that affects the neighbors and of course your school. I as a mother of two children tend to think something is amiss or awry of your playground that could be harmful or dangerous to the health of children at this time because of the offensive odors' it emits daily. As it smells of stagnant water laying in a used tire outside a garage somewhere. Either your drainage system for the areas covered in the blue recycled rubber are non functional, or there

They seem to replace the wood ground with the plastic material ground in 2017. Do not know if there are any poisoning risks?
In summer, the plastic material smells very stinky!

Although time goes by more than 1 year. Every time when walking through the roadway between the preschool and the temple, people could still smell the hot odor. Especially when the sun is shining directly on the material, it emits an extraordinary strong foul rubbery odor into the air that is unbearable to breathe.
This odor annoyance affects the quality of life of

I don't like the blue rubber mulch playground. In Asian countries, people never use this kind of materials in kindergartens nowadays. It could cause some health risks.

This review is in response to a previous review by Shi Miaoyi or 釋妙毅. I have been the Executive Director of Elan Preschool for over 10 years. Last year 2017 we did upgrade our wooden bark with an industry standard rubber mulch product that did produce an 'off gas" into the air when it was unwrapped. The scent of this has dissipated (like a new car smell) and gone away and we have had it checked to ensure such. As I do completely understand the concern, we did research over a couple years to ensure the product we chose would be safe and effective for the children and their families that we

My child has been going here for the past year. It's a spacious school with a huge play yard. New play structures have been installed recently. School focusses on all round developement which includes basic learning and exposure to creative arts/music. It's a fun place and my child absolutely loves it.

Very flexible part time options. Only one room but with multiple groups makes it easy on kids with separation anxiety in that they get to know all the teachers once and for all when they start and they only change groups within that room as they grow. They also have flexible options regarding naps (early, late, non nappers). Jump Bunch every Thursday, Tuff Tumbler on Tuesdays, big play ground and plenty of outdoor time, and bounce house once a month makes this place great for kids who need a lot of physical activity. Their academics is tailored for each student in that they work through books of

I absolutely love this school. Both of my boys go here. They love it. Each day my boys are so excited to go to school. I have never had this with a daycare or any other pre-k school. The size of the class rooms are perfect. The teachers are very attentive and caring. I get updates daily on what they learned and how everything went with my boys. I recommend this school to all of my friends that have children.
