As you exit you will be on Route 46 West. Proceed to the second traffic light (Beverwyck Road). Make a right onto North Beverwyck, and proceed through the second light (which is Lake Shore Drive). Our parking lot will precede the funeral home immediately on the right side. After exiting the tunnel, follow signs for Route 3 West.
Choose from available services, merchandise and third-party charges to determine the final cost of the funeral. We can also arrange the service at your synagogue if that is your choice and your synagogue allows it. Clergy - if you would like for us to arrange for a Rabbi, the typical honorarium and will be added to our final bill.
If a publicly traded funeral consolidator has purchased the funeral home, then it is they, not the former owner who is in charge. The former owner, if he or she is still there is merely an employee. Gutterman Bros. is Family Owned and Operated. Ordinarily, funeral homes DO NOT keep copies of a death record.
Seek information and learn about the beauty and meaning of traditional Jewish burial practices. Call your synagogue and Rabbi first to assist you and to guide the funeral arrangements you make. The dress and behavior of family and friends should reflect the dignity and solemnity of the occasion. Shiva - (Shee-vah) the traditional seven-day mourning period immediately following burial, observed by the bereaved.

What a crazy way to run a business. I've been helping a friend whose father is dying. I emailed three funeral homes in the area and two of them immediately sent me service and price information. However, Lawrence Gutterman ignored most of my emails and when he did respond, he asked me to call. I explained that I didn't even know what the family wanted and was just gathering preliminary info for them. Then he wrote "As I have repeatedly told you... I will give you pricing information if you call. Otherwise, I do not mail, fax, email or send price lists in any fashion." Rude,
