Radon is a Cancer-Causing Radioactive Gas. You can not see radon. And you can not smell it or taste it. But it may be a problem in your home. That is because when you breathe air containing radon, you increase your risk of getting lung cancer. There are over 21,000 deaths per year due to Radon exposure.
It is the client's responsibility to request the tests they want performed. There are other tests that could be performed, however ABC Home Inspection only offers testing noted below. A $50 fee applies to all water testing booked on its own. Comprehensive package plus: includes all above as well as magnesium, potassium and uranium.
The most common termite, the Subterranean, builds its nest in the ground. These termites construct mud tubes which are used to explore for food and connect their underground nest to that food source. They can enter a building without direct wood contact with the soil through such tubes. Termites can enter buildings through cracks, expansion joints, hollow bricks or concrete blocks around plumbing.

Absolutely great. We are first time home buyers and were pretty uneasy about the home inspection part of the house buying process. Almost all of our fears were silenced due to our inspector being diligent, objective, thorough, and honorable throughout the entire process. We had an inspection in April, right when COVID really was at its prime. John P. was really thorough and honest, and showed my husband and I some important areas as he made his way around. I must say, as a first time home buyer I learned a lot from John during my home inspection! He explained every step and I just walked beside him with my own and paper taking notes. After receiving his detailed report, I made the decision to walk away from the property. Here I am now with another accepted offer and everything I learned during the 1st inspection I made sure to look as I continued my home search. ABC is one of the worst inspectors for an older home. The inspector missed tile flooring with asbestos... easily visible in known in the industry of home sales and buys...he also missed extensive termite damage...He notes a small area, but did not investigate further. He did not document three bee hives in the basement...easily visible. He did not document well. He took photos but did not include in our paid for report as he promised. . . is the norm for inspections. I would never recommend or hire. Would give zero stars...would never have bought this home with a more accurate inspection.

I recently completed the salesperson pre-licensing classes at ABC Training Institute and am very satisfied with my experience. Andy is a great teacher and extremely knowledgeable on all course material. He also provides plenty of useful study tips and practice questions to prepare for the exam. The office is open six days a week allowing additional access and ability to complete the classes on a quick basis. Highly recommended.

I am a real estate Broker and I attended and inspection that ABC had provided the inspector for. His name was Andy. I see a lot of inspections so I've come to be able to tell which ones do a good job. This inspector was extremely knowledgeable, extremely detail-oriented and he was very nurturing as well. He was happy to stop several times and asked if I had any questions and he would ask the buyer of the property as well. What really stands out to me is that usually the inspector wants the real estate agent to be quiet so the inspection can go faster. But this inspector was not in an obvious hurry

If I could give zero, I would. Had my home inspected. A circa 1900 home. The inspector said he was familiar with these homes, which are common in the Merrimack Valley.
He missed visible asbestos tile in our closes and entrance. This was immediately confirmed by our flooring contractor and then tested. Confirmed. He also missed the extensive termite damage. While he identified a small area, when the Termite Contractor came, he showed us a very visible area of infestation. Moverover, there were three bees nests and evidence of mice... also easily visible with a slight probing of the basement ceiling

I scheduled a home inspection and a radon air test with ABC Home Inspection. While calling to schedule, I wasn’t sure which Radon Air test to do and I felt that both the woman who answered the phone and her manager she passed the phone to both did a great job in explaining the two tests and I did not feel pressured to do the most expensive one, which I did anyways.

They left the house we are selling a mess all blinds left up, Floors were a mess, moved everything and didn't put anything back

They turned off our water heater for reasons I cannot fathom (to see if the little red light would go out?) - WORSE they left it off - we found out the hard way when we went to shower in the morning
They may or may not be good at inspecting but they have no respect for the home or the owners of the property.

This year was my first time buying a home, and I used ABC for both the home I ended up deciding not to buy, and the one I did buy. Both inspectors were fantastic!
For the first home, the inspector was Dave. He was very thorough, and explained what he was doing as he looked at everything in the condo, and what he found. He emailed me a detailed report that same afternoon. After going through it with my realtor, we ended up deciding not to move forward with the purchase.
For the next condo, I called ABC again. This time, they sent John. He was also very thorough. He walked through the unit

Andy inspected the home that we are considering purchasing. He provided a wealth of information about the areas of concern and reasons why. A couple hours after I got home, he emailed me a detailed report with similar explanations and pictures of everything. Nate from ABC home inspection provided did an excellent job thoroughly covering every detail of the home. He arrived 45 minutes before scheduled to survey the exterior, and by the time we arrived he was already inside the garage with our realtor. The total length of the inspection was nearly 6 hours, very thorough. Nate clearly had a good background in home inspection, but also in his own work as a landscaper and his own renovation of an older home. As prospective first time home buyers Nate was clear with what could be a red flag and the things that might not be as big an issue as they appeared

We were selling our family home recently. The buyer used ABC home inspection. The inspector, whose name I will not disclose, left every single light on in the house (basement, closets, bathrooms), literally every light. just RUDE. Things were misplaced in our home, including our bed sheets that were rolled up and left in a ball on our bed. The bedroom ceiling had panels that could be pushed up, so we think he stood on our bed to check inside the panels, but we can't be sure. We felt violated and angry when we got home and saw the state our home was left in.
