Dr. La and his team has been working hard to create a "patient friendly" environment for over 23 years. Dr. La graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Dallas Baptist University.

Dr. James La and his staff believe that good oral hygiene and a healthy mouth are essential to a beautiful smile, as well as important to your overall health. The best way to achieve excellent oral hygiene is through regular cleanings and preventative dentistry, which help eliminate dental problems before they arise.
The basis of sound dental care is routine cleaning and maintenance. We customize cleanings on the basis of your periodontal, (gums and bone), health. We utilize medicated gels along with prescription mouth rinses in problem areas if necessary. Ultrasonic scalers are sometimes used to make the procedure more comfortable and effective as well.

Dr. La and his team are absolutely fantastic! I went in with nothing but nerves and anxiety due to trauma at another office, but Dr. La and his staff put me completely at ease and made sure everything went smoothly. I held my breath waiting for the numbing shots and didn’t even feel them. That’s how great he is! I will definitely be going back and taking my kids there as well!! Thank you Dr. La and team!!

Brought my 15 year old in for wisdom teeth removal with no problem! Had my 6 and 7 year old get fillings, they were very relaxed. At first they were nervous about getting a shot but after they realized it was done, it was all smooth sailing from there. Dr. La and staff are the best and I trust him with my whole family.

Dr. La and Brandy are the most incredible dental team, but more importantly, they are incredible people as well! Brandy answered my emergency call over the weekend and got me fixed up to get my wisdom teeth removed the following Thursday. They provide, quick, thorough service and I am so blessed to have chosen them as my dentist!

I spent the first half of 2021 searching for a Doctor to have my dental needs taken care of. I have been Dr. La’s patient now for about 15 years. He and his staff are professional and courteous every step of the way. I never wait long for my appointment. The front desk will text me about my appointment, which is so nice, so I can respond right away. My cleanings are painless and quick. I’ve had multiple dental interventions performed on my teeth, by him, and every time I’m more than satisfied by his work. The front desk ladies help me understand my bill with the insurance company and take the time to explain before I pay. I highly recommend Dr. La and his team.

DR. LA did a great job with my son's extractions. He was attentive and kind. The entire staff is welcoming and kind. We have been attending over a year and a half and I continued to be pleased with every visit. Such a calm environment. We feel at ease when we visit AFD, my family has mentioned that the dentist and staff are very gentle with their care. I also get follow ups after surgical attentional and through instructions when needed!
