Services
The Learning Village Montessori School is a private school catering to children from preschool to school-aged (Ages 18 months to 12 years). The hands-on Montessori approach enables a child to grow to his/her fullest potential and become a "whole" child intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially.
Designed by Italian scientist Maria Montessori in the mid-1900's, the Montessori philosophy is a hands-on curriculum that provides individualized learning to fit the needs of every child. Montessori believed children were like "sponges" absorbing everything through the senses from his/her environment.
At the Learning Village Montessori School, we believe that education shouldn't be limited to the classroom. We value the natural environment that provides children with endless possibilities in exploration and play. Students can find adventure and learning both indoors and outdoors on our three acre campus.
The Learning Village Montessori school serves children from 18 months to 7 years of age, with a rigorous, private Kindergarten & 1st Grade program. We implement the Montessori curriculum to provide a hands-on education to meet the needs of every child. Our school operates year-round, with an additional Enrichment Camp for the summer months.
Our Primary Program for children ages 3-5 years old is a "living" classroom for children. The Montessori environment nurtures the child's natural curiosity as the child is able to freely engage with and explore all of the hands-on materials.
The uninterrupted Montessori work period allows the child to independently choose work, and promotes the development of habits of high concentration, attention to detail, as well as focus on greater refinement of the body and senses.
