Services
I was raised and spent most of my young life in Mobile, Alabama. I moved to NYC, where, through a wonderful set of circumstances, I met my partner and eventually moved to Sacramento, CA in 2000. After working at a cosmetology school for three years, I yearned to be back in the salon environment and started building my Sacramento based clientele in 2003.
My official cosmetology career began while attending Elite Progressive School of Cosmetology in 2002. The foundation that I received while attending school was an amazing start to my career. Receiving certificates of completion in 2003 at both the Vidal Sassoon & Toni & Guy Academies in London, for advanced haircutting and hair colouring techniques; an experience that I will treasure forever.

Oh my gosh, I can not sing Kevin's praises enough. He gave me the BEST color that I've ever gotten. He did a color correction on my warm blonde that I did myself (it's covid). He did a super thorough consultation, and did the works. My hair is now bright blonde and healthy. After the cut Kevin gave me, my hair looks thicker but feels lighter. The salon is very clean, very bright and has great energy.

They have done my hair for so many years and they do the best they can to make me happy with the cut. They care more about the customers than they're money (they tell us what would be best and not just trying to make us buy products that we don't even need) they are the only people that cut my hair. They aren't just working they are your friends too. When you come in they are very friendly and ask you if you would like water. I recommend. They have never messed up any of my families and friends hair

Words can't describe how thankful I am to have found Kevin. I live in Roseville but gladly make the drive to Sacramento to see him. He's a genius with color and cuts my hair unlike anything I've ever experienced before. His care and products have transformed my hair. Plus, he's a blast to spend a few hours with. He has a heart of gold and a wicked sense of humor. If you're looking for a new hairdresser, look no further. 6 gold stars.

I have been getting my hair cut at Kevin Michael Salon for several years now and have been a loyal customer. However; after my most recent experience with the salon I sadly will not be returning. I missed an appointment and was told in order to reschedule my appointment I would have to pay a missed appointment fee (the fee is the total cost of the appointment) and is just a men cut no color nothing special. This request to pay a fee for a missed appointment is absolutely ridiculous! I have been a customer for several years and have only ever missed one other appointment. Not to mention that nowhere

What a long overdue review! Today marks twelve years going to this talented stylist and gifted colorist and he well-deserves these five stars. I first found him when I was looking for help correcting a hideous color job from another salon and he definitely rescued me!
Kevin Michael, even after all these years gives a thoughtful consultation before he starts working. Just had a hair appointment with Kelli and she is fantastic! I had long thick hair and wanted some layers she gave me a great hair cut at an affordable price. Plus she gave me a lot of great advice for hair products and techniques. Not to mention the service comes with a scalp massage and hot towel for your face or neck. I would recommend hey to anyone looking for a great quality haircut!

I was introduced to Kevin through a very trusted, known, and talented industry professional in LA nearly 10 years ago. As I traveled back home to the Sacramento area often, and he came highly recommended, I thought I'd give him a try--and I am not someone to trust easily right away, especially with my hair. I am really picky with who touches my hair - I went to the same hairdresser for 16 years and refused to go anywhere else, even after I moved out of area. Then I moved countries and couldn't go there any more, so I let my hair grow, and grow and grow.
Flash forward a few years later and my hair was down to my butt.
When I first started going to Kevin, all I wanted him to do (I'm sure much to his dismay) was to trim the ends. I had gotten very attached

Danielle is fairly new to Kevin Michael and she is fantastic! I was greeted on time and we had a discussion about my hair and what I wanted to do. I showed her a few pics and then we headed to shampoo. Amazing! Shampoo with a steam towel and scalp massage. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. My hair turned out perfect, I truly looked just like the pic I showed her. Reasonably priced as well, especially for what you get. I will be back!

Since I've been giving myself haircuts (if you consider shaving your head a haricut) for the past 5 years, I'm not too familiar with the hair styling/ hair care industry. Both Kevin Michael and Kelli made this visit a comfortable and very enjoyable experience. I recieved an amazing haircut and mane control at an afforable price and the atmosphere was fantastic. I can honestly say that I'll never take clippers to my own head again. I have found where I want my hair to be done.
