The energy professionals at DSM Engineering Associates, PC (DSMEA) share a strong dedication to engineering consulting services targeted at reduction of the carbon-energy footprint of a facility. DSMEA seeks to understand and address the client's needs and provide solutions that are technically, operationally, and economically effective.
We build on our own in-house skills and knowledge with our team of professional affiliates, many of whom we have worked seamlessly with for the past fifteen years. Our diverse base of professionals allows us to provide our clients with high quality, comprehensive designs in the most efficient and effective manner, a service many disjointed project teams struggle to achieve.
While we are talking about ourselves, (which is what a website is for) we tend to pay a lot of attention to our cogeneration work, Tru-Use services, and some of our more innovative projects. These specialties all have a foundation in Energy System Engineering, which is what we like to call the mainstream Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) engineering.
Cogeneration systems are installed in a variety of facilities to optimize energy use and cost. It does this by "multi-tasking" the fuel that is consumed to meet the electrical, heating, and cooling needs of the building. Optimizing fuel consumption means we optimize the energy cost and the carbon produced.
Energy Consulting comprises many different applications of basic engineering and energy analysis. If we want to reduce cash or carbon for a facility, energy systems and energy use are going to be our target zone. When we optimize energy use, we reduce the carbon resulting from the facility's energy loads and just as likely reduce the cash required to meet these loads.
