Services
Buying a new home is one of the most important decisions and biggest investments you will make. With so many factors to consider and questions to ask, finding a builder you can trust and depend on is vital. Since 1977, more than 1,000 families and individuals have trusted Robert Nelson Construction to build their new homes.
Have you every tried to sneak up or down the stairs and been given away by a squeaky staircase? Most builders use 212 pine for the stringers that support the stair treads. After a while they start to squeak. Robert Nelson Construction uses three 11 7/8 Micro-Lam beam beams to support the stairs. These micro-Lam beams do not flex over time.
Builders are tough individuals who work summer and winter. This means that there are basement walls, garage floors, and stairs being poured year round. When concerete freezes during the curing process it weakens the concrete and after a few years it will start to flake away. It is therefore essential that the temperature be kept above freezing while the curing takes place.
It may be hard to believe but there are builders in the area that don't put rebar in driveways and sidewalks. With the harsh temperature changes we have in Utah, rebar is more important than ever. Robert, Matt, and Darrell are hardworking people who get it when it comes to long lasting concrete. They will insure that your concrete work has a solid 4"-6" compacted road base with rebar 24" on center going both directions.
Most homes recieve the power through an underground cable that comes from the street. However, that does not mean that your builder has to expose that ugly pipe on the outside of the house. Hiding the pipe inside the foundaton is example of the Attention to Detail you recieve when you build with Robert Nelson Construction.

The woman who answered was not nice or kind. And if you are reading this, being kind and nice is part of a professional behavior. Her behavior is displeasing. It started off like this; I let her know that I do not know how this works but do you give free quotes or do you charge to come out? Her response was I do not know what you are asking, are you doing a remodel? I said we have a double car garage and we...she cuts me off and ask "so you are doing a remodel?" I said I was going to say "I am interested in adding another double car garage" she said they do not do additions or remodels. I asked

We had a great experience. They do excellent work and we know that our house is built very well. We had sub contractors point out to us some of the extra details that Robert Nelson homes have and we were told many times what a well built home we have. Even the woman who came to measure the windows for shutters complemented their work. Matt was great to work with. I showed him pictures of what I wanted and it was done perfectly to the smallest details. He also has great ideas and is really helpful with everything.

Building our house with Robert Nelson Construction was an amazing process. The process was 100% custom from the ground up. Matt's cost estimate was unbelievably close to the final price of the home construction.
We started the process with Matt supervising the excavation and foundation, and later on Darrell took over the supervision of the entire home. The transition was seamless and both of them were equally as capable of doing a perfect job, including being kind, patient, and helpful.
Any changes we asked to make along the way were done without any complaints from the team. All of the subcontractors
