As we as a community are trying to limit the spread of disease, we at Real Life Counseling strongly encourage all of our clients to abide by the government's recommendations to avoid going in public if possible, and avoid gathering with others at this time. Additionally, if you are having any symptoms of illness at all, please stay home.

Our providers are working to continue holding sessions if at all possible. Your provider will contact you about their plan for seeing clients, including utilizing teletherapy. We recommend that you contact your insurance company, if applicable, about reimbursement for telehealth services. This will help encourage them to make this a covered service.

We're glad you made it here. Our goal is to provide a place where you can experience healing mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It is easy in our couple relationships to get stuck in ruts - patterns of conflict and miscommunication that can be damaging to the relationship and hurtful for all those involved. In couples therapy, the therapist is a caring third party who can help give perspective and help find new strategies to solve the same old problems.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a research-based treatment mode which is effective in helping people "reprocess" traumatic events in their lives and move forward, diminishing the impact of trauma. According to the EMDR Institute, it is a comprehensive, integrative approach.
It can be easy to fall into negative patterns in our family relationships. Whether it is problems communicating, cooperating, or resolving conflict, it can be very beneficial to have someone who can offer a third-party perspective and help each family member feel understood.

At Real Life Counseling, we have several Marriage and Family Therapists who have special training facilitating family counseling focused on promoting change, cooperation, reconciliation and positive communication.Feel free to contact us to discuss family therapy, or read about our therapists, many of whom work specifically with families.
Hypnosis is a way to quickly "uncover the unconscious roots" of some common problems we experience, such as compulsive, addictive behaviors, anxiety and fear, depression, and more. It can help promote healing and change above and beyond what traditional "talk therapy" can.

Instead of "intellectualizing" and "talking about" problems, the goal of Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy is to help discover sub-conscious motivations, needs, hurts and desires in order to achieve greater personal insight and awareness.Brandon Jacobs, LCMFT has been trained to provide Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy by the folks at The Wellness Institute.

I have struggled with body issues, weight issues, and my relationship with food my whole life. I have tried COUNTLESS times to lose weight, change my thinking, and change my attitude towards food, but never came out on top of my issues.

I first met Jenny at work, and constantly asked for her opinion/knowledge on food, body image, and work outs. When she asked me to be her client for her life coaching I was thrilled! (And a little nervous, bc I knew we were going to get into the root of my problems.)

As of right now we are three sessions in, out of 12. My life is 100% different, which to me is
