I got arrested for a 1st time offense DUI in Hopkinsville 2 years ago. I posted bail, returned to my Florida home, and retained Mr. Thompson as my attorney. My court date kept getting extended due to the fact that I was at an inpatient rehab center for 90+ days. I was required to be present for court 3 days after my rehab release date. I was still attending outpatient services. Further, I had no way of returning to KY as I had not been working, was not at a stage in my recovery to be traveling, and had totaled my car before entering rehab. I was completely misled me through the whole divorce and custody case... Further more to conclude with not notifying me about the final court case date and time until 1230 the day prior as I was also on the other side of the country.. Did not make it known to the judge that he did not notify me in order to have a new court date assigned. Along with would not and did not know how to Rebuttal of the ruling.
