I have 3 veterinarians in my immediate family, none of which live nearby, but I know what to look for. I have been taking my pets to Dr. Andrew and Dr. Amy at Newport Animal Hospital over the past 7 years. I have always felt my pets were treated with both kindness and clinical excellence. Hands down the best vet in South West Florida.
We trust this place with our dog.. you can't say that about every vet out there.. but you can here.
Dr Andrew is the smartest most knowledgeable vet we have ever been to.. Great bedside manner and he's a super nice guy too. He just loves animals. The staff there are on point. The front gets you right in and are incredibly nice as well.
I ONLY trust Dr Andrew with our Boston Terrier.
I'm so happy we found this place. I HIGHLY recommend Newport to any of my friends looking for a vet..

I met Dr. Andrew today and was impressed with his extensive researched based veterinary medicine. He was up to date and consistent with his care and took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. His style of medicine is realistic, empathic, and scientifically sound. I appreciated his honesty and his no-nonsense approach which is what I need when it comes to caring for my senior pup. Thank you team for your politeness and professional attitude. Newport Animal Hospital has always been excellent taking care of my puppy, and all my questions and needs.
Not only both Dr Amy and Dr Andrew, are knowledgeable, but also all their staff are very caring and friendly. Also they always had time to assist me straight away when I needed. Their business hours are great. And their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

I have a senior feline with multiple health issues. As a result, I have many questions and concerns when I have to take him to the veterinarian. Dr. Amy is always very patient when it comes to addressing my concerns and answering my questions. She is very knowledgeable and is able to give explanations that one is able to process and understand. Although my cat usually sees Dr. Amy, he receives excellent care with both Dr. Amy and Dr. Andrew.

I recommend Newport to any pet parent!
Our Dog Marley loved Dr. Andrew and the rest of the staff. We dealt with lots of allergies and sadly cancer. The staff there is loving and understanding. They know your… pet is family. When we found out our baby girl was running out of time they explained everything to us. They took their time with us and just today got a beautiful card in the mail from them. We appreciate the staff at Newport and will never forget their love.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. They did several things poorly. They did $1200 dollars worth of tests on our puppy and told us they couldn't find anything wrong. They sent are puppy home with respiratory problems. We had to fly home to Missouri to our Vet there and for $200 they found and solved the problems and got our puppy back to health.… Worst of all they push the Hills Science Digestive food which is in a class action lawsuit in 2019 because of dog deaths. They put our dog on it and several times while we were sitting in the waiting room heard them pushing other dog owners to

I was so relieved after taking my kitty here. He was able to explore the room while I waited and talked to the vet which clearly made him comfortable with getting poked for his vaccines. He didn't want to leave this place. The vet loved my kitty and gave him lots of attention. I can tell they really care about your pet here and never fail to give you information even if it's unpleasant. Me and my kitty were very happy leaving here.

We had to bring our pup during COVID, which made for a different appointment as they took him from our car instead of us bringing him inside. However, they made the whole process seamless, and made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Amy Fischer took the time to answer all of our questions over the phone, she was reassuring and helpful, and we were told by reception that our dog was "the best boy" (this is 100% true). I'm so glad to have found this lovely vet and we will be back!

As an award winning licensed primary care physician, we see major shortcomings in medicine. Both for people and animals.
Newport animal hospital went above and beyond. Highly recommended clinic that offers the same diagnostic tests that OTHER clinics markup 2x. Plus they can tests such as blood panels on site. In 30 minutes you can get answers. To manage the care of your pet better. Ill make the drive of 40 minutes to go here in the future.

The doctors here may be young, but they are super smart! Dr. Andrew took one look at my dog's rat tail and knew she had Cushing's disease. This went undiagnosed at previous vet for about a year, probably shortening her lifespan. They are open 7 days a week, which is great and the entire staff, especially Dustin & Kelly have been so caring and helpful in getting all my Rosie's medications and foods and testing done. I really appreciate it very much.Thank you!

What can i tell you about Andrew and his staff? Well coming from a professional stand point ? Excellent!! Courteous and Caring ? Excellent! Pricing ? Excellent! But there are no words to express my gratitude in every possible way on how they handled my mother n laws long time pet with a rare kidney disease. Andrew was amazing in every way and my appreciation for him and his staff is forever held with upmost respect. In the last days of her life (Daisy) Andrew was so caring through the whole process as he laid her down to sleep and you can see it in his demeanor the caring he had its just unbelievable

Thank you to Dr Andrew and his staff so far our experience with this clinic has been perfect and you have earned a life long customer in Nala and the Hayes Family! I brought our new GSD rescue pup in for Digestive issues. The staff was fantastic and got me in on the same day on the weekend! Dr Andrew was thorough and kind. We are still in the process of treating her issues but I have total faith that we will help Nala be a healthy girl.

New to the area and I need to take my dog to get some shots. Very large facility looks professional staff seems knowledgeable. The veterinarian is a recent grad of three years ago. They only carry 4DX for heartworm test so if they give you anything else they aren't as truthful as I would've thought. Overall I am happy with the service. Everyone was very friendly.
