The embodiment of everything that people hate about lawyers. When I posted bail a gentleman was outside by his truck and let me use his cellphone. During our conversation I mentioned to him that chip was my lawyer and he gasped and said “oh no! Hes a con artist and the very last person you want representing you.”
I chalked it up to just a man unhappy with his conviction, and taking it out on the lawyer… now I know what he means.
I should’ve listened.
