The team at Matthew Accounting are top notch. We have been a customer for a long time. They give me peace of mind, because dealing with the IRS and tax issues leaves me nervous. There are only positive things to be said about my experience with having them prepare my family's taxes. Jill was really great at facilitating my setup as a client and was very quick in responding. I knew that tax preparation with the added Covid-related changes in the past year required expertise and Ethan Reynolds did thorough and efficient work. I will absolutely come back in the future.
Their fee was an exceptional value because I went from thinking that I would owe money in the thousands to actually getting a refund back above and beyond their fee for preparation.

Matthew Accounting has done a good job with my taxes in the past. However, this year will be my last working with them. They will slip optional 'Audit Protection' services onto your invoice, without explanation and without any attempt to inform you. They will also require you to ask them to remove the unwanted optional services, before you can pay your expected bill. This is the type of tactic that would suit a shady used-car dealer, not a once-reputable accounting firm. Or maybe they are just tremendously bad at communicating with their customers about the services they are billing you for. Either
