Originally established in 1994, Heartland consists of four Long Term Care Pharmacies located in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Florida. We have been providing quality pharmaceutical services for over 25 years, currently serving 20,000 beds in ten states; dispensing over 300,000 prescriptions per month.
Since 1994 we have been delivering high-caliber solutions designed to meet the ever changing needs of our nursing centers and their patients. We value our patient care partners, always seeking to improve our services to you. We are always 'on call' with Pharmacists and Technicians available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Heartland is a Long-Term Care Pharmacy company owned equally by HCR-ManorCare (HCR) of Toledo, Ohio and CVS Health. Heartland Healthcare's joint ownership between a long-term care provider (HCR) and a pharmaceutical provider, CVS Health (Omnicare), give Heartland the benefit of understanding the specific and evolving needs within the long-term care industry.
Our Clinical Intervention Center is comprised of employees dedicated to managing clinical rejects and processing Prior Authorizations whenever possible. All in an effort to reduce non-covered charges and therapy disruptions. OCC (Omnicare Communication Connection) Portal available on Omniview to access and respond to pharmacy notifications.
