In 1987, a group of local businessmen wanted more options in funeral service for the people of Alamogordo. They found a building that had been a church and later a school, and renovated it for a new funeral home. Thus was the beginning of Alamogordo Funeral Home. In 1995, Clark Sears, a longtime Funeral Director from Idaho, purchased the Alamogordo Funeral Home and changed the name to Sear's Alamogordo Funeral Home.
At Alamogordo Funeral Home, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. Alamogordo Funeral Home is a spacious full-service funeral facility. We can accommodate everyone, from a private memorial service or viewing, to a large public funeral service with a reception. Don was a Presbyterian minister for 25 years serving in Texas, Missouri and New Mexico. He later taught special education in Alamogordo, NM, El Paso and Amarillo, TX. Don loved camping and fishing in his younger years. He enjoyed singing in the local barbershop quartet and the church choir at Bethel Baptist.
