As long as there is a financial need, our lifetime membership will allow you to see anyone in our network for the rates listed above. This is our guarantee. A lifetime membership only costs $59. Our nonprofit serves clients who lack health insurance or whose health insurance doesn't provide adequate mental health benefits.
These clients also cannot afford current market rates for therapy (between $80-200 a session). We help our members access their choice of affordable in-person or online care from a vetted mental health professional. Please visit our client information page to learn more. Open Path may have truly saved me in a very desperate time of needed guidance.

Services
Your lifetime membership will allow you to work with an Open Path therapist as long as there is a financial need. Once you register, you'll receive a Member ID in your inbox. Schedule appointments directly with your therapist using the information in your Member ID email. If you are in a life threatening situation, do not use this site.
Open Path is intended for people who either lack health insurance or are underinsured, and cannot otherwise afford to work with a therapist. By underinsured, we are referring to people who have health insurance that does not include affordable in-network mental health benefits. This could be due to a high deductible and/or a copay higher than $60 per session for individual therapy (or higher than $80 per session for couples or family therapy).

Our clients also cannot afford current market rates for therapy (between $100-250 a session). If you or someone you know is in crisis-whether they are considering suicide or not-call the toll-free Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) so you can speak directly to a trained crisis counselor. Calls are free, confidential, and available 24/7. The Trevor Project supports LGBTQ people under age 25 with 24/7 access to trained crisis support.
A: The Open Path sliding scale rates of $30-$60 per session for individuals and $30-$80 for couples and family are based on a standard, 50-minute session. If a session will be longer than 50 minutes, you can prorate the session fee. For example, you could charge $90 for a 90-minute intake session. If you have any further questions regarding setting the fee, please email Open Path at info@openpathcollective.org.

When I started reaching out to therapists last summer I felt hopeless that I could get the much needed help I was desperately in need of because I simply couldn’t afford it. I felt like I was on a bus pulling the cord to stop & let me off but the driver said I couldn’t afford to stop, that I’d just have to jump off. When I discovered Open Path it was like the bus left me off safely.

The relationship counseling we are getting with our therapist has truly saved our marriage. He is a professional and knowledgeable coach and in just a few sessions, he has taught us so many tools that we have successfully applied to our everyday dialogue. It was clear within the first few sessions that he invested significant time and energy into… understanding the nature of our relationship and the dynamic between my husband and I in order to facilitate our sessions more effectively. He has given us a new perspective where we have found mutual understanding within our relationship, a language

The online Anger Management course is really good. It helped me deal with small daily irritations that were building up. It’s not difficult, you can do it at your own pace. In fact I sometimes waited a long time between sessions. But something is definitely happening that makes stressful situations easier.
