I'm Shannon, the gal behind Wood and Lace. I am a mom of 2 humans, one boy that is 19 and one girl that is 11, a fur mom to 3, ages 10 years and 8 months (2), and wife to one. I often laugh at myself and think I'm hilarious, but my kids disagree. I love to talk and get to know people, I drink way too much coffee, fall is my favorite season, and there is nothing more important than family.

While looking to get maternity photos I stumbled upon Wood and Lace Photography and I am so glad I did! Easily the best experience with a photographer ever!! Shannon you are not only a wonderful person, but truly a professional in photography!! You make the entire experience comfortable and just so much fun! Your down to earth and calm manner gave Joe and I the confidence we both needed…especially Joe, as he has never really enjoyed his picture taken…until you!! We cannot recommend Wood and Lace more. Shannon has quickly become our family photographer and with reason. Her talent is remarkable for finding great shots that turn out better than expected on "film". She is a joy to work with and is excellent at directing while not being pushy. We can't wait to work with her to capture our growing family again soon.

Shannon was amazing ! So easy to work with and very patient with my two kiddos. Having a in home session was so fun and relaxing. We had everything we needed right here in our own home and that made taking pictures with two small children a stress free experience. I will definitely schedule our next session with her!

Shannon was exceedingly comforting when I expressed concern over posing for photos. I have 3 very young & rambunctious children and I was worried they wouldn’t sit still long enough to have good shots taken. She told me she didn’t want us “posing” for pictures anyway, she wanted to capture real life shots of my family... us laughing, running through our family’s fields at the farm... my husband throwing our children up into the air & catching them while they laughed uncontrollably.... She captured special moments with just my husband & I... pictures with just the kids playing together
