Wayne Russell is Owner, CEO and Licensed Mortician. He is a 1976 graduate of the Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science, Atlanta, GA. He is a U.S. Army Veteran, Member of The Funeral Director and Morticians Association of NC and The National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association. He organized and founded Wayne Russell Funeral Service in 2010 and continues a legacy of service and compassion.

Wayne Russell Funeral Home cared for my Mother and my Father. They are first and foremost CARING people. They take a genuine concern for their families and they step in and help where they are needed. They do not rush the process and are there anytime you call them. They take pride in their business, their reputation, and their work. Both my mother and my father looked as if they were only sleeping. They took care in making sure my parents were literally smiling as we said our "see ya laters". I will ALWAYS recommend ONLY them to anyone who wants their loved ones laid to rest with all respect,

My experience with this company was absolutely horrible. They make promises that they do not keep. They do wrong and refuse to accept responsibility for it! Mrs. Russell is very rude and defensive. Even one of their workers said Mr. Russell was incompetent!! I have sleepless nights because I feel that my mother did not receive the service she deserved! After everything was over, I was asked why did I use this company. Several people said that they were "crooks"!! Well actions speaks for itself, and it is speaking loud!! It's a thumbs down for me and my family!! Never again!! -0 rating

This is the worst funeral home I heave ever encountered. They make you feel like they care until they get your business. They held the ashes of my loved one thinking the money want paid being that someone else took the payment. Once they figured out that it was they didn't apologize. The obituary want done right it had last year's date on it and nothing else that we asked them to put. The day of the service they didn't have a minister that we paid for they had to find someone that did a 5m mess. The death certificate wasn't given to us until 3 weeks later. The lady had an attitude when we asked
