New York Minute I would send anyone I know here! The quality of the food is excellent and the quality of the servers is BAR none top notch! We so enjoy sitting on the patio with friends and enjoying the desert evenings! Great atmosphere to relax! We enjoyed the shishito peppers as an appetizer which are delicious! As entree's we had the lobster fried rice, the sashimi salad (which the fresh fish was amazing), the pork chops and the French fries and the sea bass which was also deliciousness! (That was a Yelp word but fitting) everything was great and we so enjoyed and always come back for

Loved eating here, very kind staff especially the hostess'. I ordered the rainbow roll and duck and thoroughly enjoyed both, great quality duck and even better sushi. My waiter, Michael, was very attentive and friendly. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys good quality food and service, definitely worth the trip.

As I'm reasonably new to the desert - and Covid has restricted our restaurant exploring, I'd never been to Mitches; only driven by and thought it was an ugly extension to the white supremacist, racist store next door (that's a whole other story) Went the other night and was blown away by how huge it is. Lovely outdoor area. It was packed! And the food is really really good. A mostly seafood menu, but really it covers all the bases, From sushi to steak. I had a Caesar salad- I'm a Caesar snob- and it was certainly up to par. Then I had the dovet sole. Very nicely cooked. Friends

Excellent, high end, prime steak, seafood and sushi. The Sashimi salad was most tasty, and the Scallop appetizer was plentiful. Peaceful, solo guitar player. Friendly, knowledgeable serving staff. Elegant setting with ample outdoor, covered, seating. Open bar area with TV screens. Valet parking. We'll definitely be back!

I came here to celebrate my anniversary with my girlfriend last Saturday and this was by far the best restaurant I have experienced in the area. The staff was super friendly and we even got to meet Mitch and he came by our table a few times to check in on us. Our server, Desirae, was phenomenal. The staff seemed to all know it was our anniversary, which was surprising, but at the same time, super thoughtful. When we went to the bar for a final drink before leaving, the bartender even know, which completely shocked us!
The food was great! We ordered the oysters (which were super fresh) and beet

Everything about Mitch's restaurant is top notch

yes it is on the experience side and well worth it because it was a fabulous meal . The restaurant is beautifully decorated. We did find the noise level quite loud and it was difficult to hear each other but big deal.

my husband and I split a 20oz steak. He likes his cooked medium and I like medium rare. The restaurant has a policy of not splitting the meals in the kitchen on Saturday night so they bring a plate for us to split ourselves. When the manager Robert came around to ask how things were, we told him of our dilemma. He gratuitously

Every single thing about my special birthday dinner at Mitch's on El Paseo was top-notch! My parents out of state sent flowers for the table and their experience in working with the folks at Mitch's was as enjoyable and smooth as our dinner was!
Emily was our server and there simply are not enough words to describe how her fantastic attention to detail made our dining experience the best we've had in years! She was attentive but not hovering, she knew the menu and wines well and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the gluten free options I needed for my food allergy. Her help in choosing

Sushi rolls were all very good. Didn't care for the jalapeño popper but sounds like this is very popular so perhaps just us. Went on busy Sat and the server could not keep up so we left before we could try entre's I would say go early or be comfortable waiting with an empty drink for long periods. Kind of typical post covid service but food seems like it would have been very good.

We were lucky that mitchs had just reopened while we were in the desert. We popped in and sat at the bar- bartender, ambiance, food and drinks were all fantastic. I loved the eclectic menu, they have so many great options. The owner was there that night and sat and chatted with us. He was very friendly and we truly enjoyed our time here. I definitely recommend Mitch's

Not sure how I've missed this gem for so long. Mitch's has a great selection of seafood and other items with a mix of European and Asian influences. The ahi poke mini tacos in delicate tempura wonton shells are a treat (3 per order). The crab-stuffed jalapeño "poppers" look more like a crispy spicy crab roll, with the jalapeno and crab packed into a sushi shape, sliced, and served like maki.

I had mixed feelings about the fried chicken liver and spinach salad, but I knew going in that it might not be quite for me. The chicken liver was perfectly cooked--shatteringly crisp

Definitely my favorite place in the desert by far!!! I love the front valet parking, I love the little bar area and the outside seating is so beautiful with all the lights. The atmosphere is always upscale and the service is impeccable. I crave their Dover sole all the time. The food is always consistently delicious and whenever I have friends in town, I always suggest Mitches!

We stayed in Palm Desert during La Quinta art festival and wanted to find a good place to have dinner. After checking out the menus from a few different restaurants we decided to come here. And it was a good decision. We made an early evening reservation so when we arrived at 4:30 there was only one table occupied in the outdoor area. However the place was totally full by the time we finished our dinner

Soon after we were seated, hot bread rolls and butter were served. The rolls were delicious. We started off with hamachi sashimi and beet salad. The beet salad was so colorful and tasty

Highly recommend! We tried a plethora of items and every single one was amazing. As far as main dishes, I had the rack of lamb. Cooked to perfection and the sauces was very tasty but not overpowering. The service was wonderful and their outdoor dining experience had a nice ambience.

While vacationing in Palm Desert, my husband and I stopped in at Mitch's on El Paseo for lunch. We did not have a reservation, but on a Wednesday afternoon it was not a problem at all getting seated immediately. We opted for a booth on their very large outdoor patio. To drink, I opted for the OCtini, which I enjoyed very much. Our lunch selections were a shared Bi Color Beet Salad, A grilled shrimp Louie and a rainbow roll. Everything was delicious and the only reason I deducted one star was because I asked to have the imitation crab in my rainbow roll replaced with an alternate fish (after

Mitch's is fantastic and a great experience. My s/o and I visited for Valentines Day dinner last year and I loved every second. They got us a last minute reservation. We procrastinated this year and were already denied elsewhere and had little hope so we are so grateful to have been booked so close to closing time! On top of that, I requested a warmer seat outdoors and was seating right next to a lovely warming fire pit that was amazing for the ambience. Our server was fantastic and offered to swap my side of potatoes which I appreciated, as well. I kept the dish as all the food was great

Fantastic dining experience! We came here for dinner with my family and everyone enjoyed themselves. We got a table outside on the giant patio and was immediately greeted by our sever. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and make some excellent suggestions for starters and the main course. The wine list showcased a good variety of wines and other cocktails and we ended up ordering a few bottles of Brewer-Clifton Pinot noir. Known for their extensive selection of seafood the majority of the table ordered some type of fish, although I branched out and ordered the filet. It was cooked to perfection

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! My fellow Marine veteran friend flew in from Chicago and we met up in Palm Springs with another friend of ours to celebrate her birthday and have a Girls Night Out. We love great food so when Mitch's was highly recommended, we were all in! Everything about Mitch's is AMAZING. The owner Mitch and his staff made us feel like family! The food is to die for and the atmosphere is friendly and very welcoming. Good people, Good food and lots of laughter! To Mitch and your staff: Thank you for making our night an amazing one. We laughed until our faces were sore. Until we meet again

We are so happy that Mitch's is open again for the season! A really fabulous and funky place with an elegant outdoor patio.
We love their 808 roll and the protein roll! Both are to die for! Mike took good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed.
Mitch and Melissa are great people and support local small bushinesses, which is so important for our community!

We tried Mitch's for the first time a couple of weeks ago, in celebration of my birthday. From the minute we walked in, the service was outstanding and the ambiance was fabulous. Mitch himself greeted us at the hostess stand, and gave us our choice of tables. Our server, and I cannot recall her name, was awesome! Friendly and helpful. Mitch let us know about their world-class sushi so we started with a tuna carpaccio appetizer - amazing! Mitch brought me a complimentary glass of champagne as a birthday offering. So nice!

My husband had the bone-in ribeye and said it was just okay (more well

If you like seafood, sushi, or really great steaks- you've come to the right spot. And really, what else could you want?

This place is impressive. We lived in Palm Springs for a few months, and I think we came here more than any other restaurant.

It's located in the far end of the El Paseo strip, and the outside doesn't do the restaurant justice. When you walk in there is a wine cellar to your right, bar to your left and a center dining area, but you will want a seat outside.

We came during COVID and honestly their service and ambiance was so well thought out that you didn

Wow! Mitch's came through for us.

It was our Anniversary and we came to the desert to celebrate.
We had made reservations at another restaurant. We were there for an hour and still never received our dinner. The GM came over and said he was sorry. He gave us a $25 GC. ‍. I won't mention which restaurant this was but it wasn't what we expected.

Hungry and not happy we were driving back to our Villa and drove past Mitch's. We thought let's try and at least have a drink and an appetizer. We walked in and were told the kitchen had already closed.

We told

Had a wonderful brunch here. Wine bottles half price on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The seafood tower (oysters, lobster, king crab, mussels, jumbo shrimp) was worth the $72. The sushi was fresh, the service excellent. A true gem!
