The Mission Funeral Home family would like to take a moment to thank Abby's Gift out of Houston, Texas. Many families that have lost a child have received donations from Abby's Gift to help with funeral and burial expense. We thank this Houston organization for reaching out to it's Austin brothers and sisters suffering the loss of a child.

The stress of making funeral plans can be very difficult on loved ones. Most families have little knowledge what final arrangements their loved one desired and the expense of funerals can easily create a financial burden for family. Pre-planning allows you to protect loved ones from additional emotional stress and can help to eliminate the financial burden of purchasing funeral goods and services.
Pre-planning for funeral services is a serious matter. It protects you and your loved ones. For this reason, the State of Texas has established a website to provide additional education and resources for those in the process of considering pre-planning funeral goods and services. Please visit www.prepaidfunerals.texas.gov.
These articles will help you understand something about the grief and how we can help ourselves and others through the difficult process. These articles were written by Dr Bill Webster, our Director of Grief Education, and are part of a comprehensive library available on our Grief Journey web portal.
We can create almost anything that a family would like. Some parts of an urn are not recommended due to the fragile nature of them. An example of this would be railing on a boat. Any very small pieces that are on a model have a higher chance of breaking during shipping. We will let you know if there are any issues with the urns requested.
Family and friends getting together to honor a loved one's life is one of the most important steps in the grieving and healing process. You may opt to have a traditional religious or military service, or as some families are doing, you can choose to have a non-traditional 'life celebration'. Pre-planning for funeral services is a serious matter.

This place is amazing. They worked with me and my family during the loss of my mom so efficiently and graciously. Being that her death was unexpected and us having low funds to provide a proper service, they provided such an amazing process and service to us in this time. If you’re looking for a funeral home that CARES, is patient, and inexpensive, this is the place! Such a blessing. Thank y’all a TON

So after hearing the story about how Mission Funeral Home bought Peel & Sons Funeral Home so that everyone who prepaid but was about to lose their services could be refunded definitively impressed me. When the time comes for myself or any of my family members to need services I will most certainly chose Mission Funeral Home. Thank yall for all that you do in such a difficult time and for truly caring.

I am not happy with the way this business handled my brother's funeral. They kept our love one from being buried on his scheduled date. It was handled very unprofessional. To add insult , Mission tried to bury my brother without his mom, & family present.
Response to "Mission funeral home's "response - If it was your brother, son, or father. You wouldn't have left his body locked away from his family for the whole weekend. People depend on businesses like yours to help families during their time of need. Not to punish the innocent, and grieving love ones.
It's my feelings & opinion. It should
