Lifetime oral health starts with regular dental visits for cleanings and preventive checkups. Herman Family Dentistry offers many services and treatments to keep your teeth healthy and strong. Our team is happy to answer questions and also provide recommendations for the best oral hygiene techniques you can practice at home between visits.
Patients should visit our practice for checkups and teeth cleanings at least twice a year. Our skilled dentists and staff will be able to diagnose and treat potentially dangerous oral health concerns by catching them at an early stage. Checkups include diagnostics like x-rays and intraoral cameras, a complete evaluation, a thorough cleaning, and a consultation to go over your oral health and develop a personalized treatment plan.
Plaque and tartar build up on dentures just like natural teeth, and once plaque hardens into tartar, it can cause bacterial accumulation and tissue problems. Dentures require daily care at home and professional cleaning by a dental professional. Tartar is very hard and cannot be removed by brushing or soaking dentures but it can be removed by an ultrasonic machine in our office.
Fluoride treatments are a fast, simple way to fortify tooth enamel on children whose teeth are developing and adults who experience frequent tooth decay. Fluoride treatments are also effective in decreasing dental sensitivity. Fluoride attracts nutrients essential to the health of tooth enamel to strengthen it and help prevent tooth decay.
Oral cancer screenings are important as part of your dental checkup. The quick, painless examinations performed by our dentists as part of your checkup allow our team to find signs of oral cancer and recommend further care whenever necessary.

I'll never forget the terrible experience I had with Herman! He disregarded the fact that I was in excruciating pain during his procedure. I begged him to stop. Only to be scolded by him. He said I was acting like a baby! So unprofessional! He ripped the roof of my mouth out! He was so rude. And I'll NEVER forget it! Unhappy customer!!

Herman Family Dentistry is quite the experience! They really keep up with the modern advances in the industry. I have had the opportunity to see all three dentists and they are all wonderful. You can’t go wrong! The office is very nice and clean and the staff are always pleasant and smiling. I wish we would have made the switch sooner.

It took me 60 years to find a dentist I don't dread going to! And not just Dr Hermanm, the whole staff! What a wonderful, yes wonderful, dental experience I have had the last 5 years. Never a pain! So caring, concerned, knowledgeable, skilled, accommodating, thorough, up to date, kind, and fun to be around people! They inform you so well and make you part of the team in all decisions about your dental needs and never push you into something you don't need or want. I am so happy a coworker recommended your office to me when we relocated to Vincennes. I just had an old crown replaced and I am very happy with the results. The procedure was painless and the results were great. No annoying cold sensitivity for month like I had with the previous crown and a great fit.
