The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children have their first dental visit by age one, or six months after the eruption of their first tooth, whichever comes first! My son has been going to Dentistry for Children since before his 1st birthday. He was born with health issues and needed a major surgery before he turned one which meant he needed a full check up before surgery. A friend of mine suggested this practice and I’ve been so thankful she did!
Dr. Hurd was so compassionate since our first visit! She told me about future issues we may have and kept on eye on soft spots! He ended up getting a chipped tooth due to a deficiency from his health issue. She fixed it, with major bark back from my prednisone fueled toddler-hulk 🤦🏽♀

Dr. Hurd is phenomenal! Both my sons have been seeing her for years. Autumn and her team helped my youngest who is on the Autism Spectrum feel more comfortable over time. She even allowed him to visit her clinic for the first time without an official appointment just so he could become familiar with the setting and the staff. Dr Hurd has been our children's dentist since 2008. She is very caring and goes the extra mile for each child. She did an incredible job with surgery and gave our youngest child a beautiful smile and a chance to talk and have permanent teeth when other dentists didn't.

Dr. Hurd and her staff have treated my son for many years. She has treated him for routine check ups and cleanings but has also seen him for a trauma due to sports and extractions for orthodontics.
Her office is always professional and friendly. Her demeanor with my child is unsurpassed. She is patient and knowledgeable. We appreciate her direct communication with us as parents and empathy being a parent herself. He was terrified to have the extractions done. He walked out with a smile and told us how easy it had been!!

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Hurd for 12 years. We absolutely LOVE her and her staff. They are always so helpful and kind. My daughter had a problem with one of her front teeth coming in crooked when she was very young. She immediately recommended an Orthodontist (Who we also currently LOVE and still use) and has taken amazing care of my daughter all these years. They were great - my 2 year old warmed up to our assistant (Jill) right away. They took time to explain things in a way a 2 year old would understand and let the kids play with the tools before they put them in his or her mouth. My child did great with the first ever dentist visit because they made it a comfortable experience! Plus, great toys and a train table in the waiting area and everyone we talked to was friendly. Overall, a great place we would recommend!
