After a decade working under the guidance and mentorship of two accomplished portrait studios Kibbee acquired a small studio named Artisan Portrait & Design in Post Falls that was struggling to survive.

Beautifully blended mixed-media portraits start as a beautifully created photographic composition of light, color, composition and expression. After retouching and artwork, brush strokes are individually added by hand to transform it into a beautiful painted piece.

Kibbee was very good at getting our family photo session organized and the pictures turned out amazing! We truly appreciated how well he kept everyone engaged and the results of the photos show! He is very good at getting the younger kids and older kids to be ready to smile and we enjoyed the session especially how quick and professional he was with us all.

Our experience with Artisan Portrait was like no other. Our family went into the studio in homemade Victorian/Steampunk style outfits with kids ranging in age from 3 yrs - 20 yrs. Kibbee didn't hesitate when it came to our toddler; he understood his motives and wants, anticipated them, and was able to get our photoshoot done in about 30 min. He was able to get a natural look and smile out of our 13 year old son, and captured my husband and I in a very elegant and balanced photo. The whole experience was such a positive one. I’ve known Kibbee for a while and have always admired his work. Yet, all this time we’d never had photos done by him...My husband and I recently had some photos taken and it was an amazing, fun and special experience. He made us feel comfortable, is very kind, warm, welcoming and took the shoot to a whole new level of professionalism. He treated us as friends and as professional clients. We had a wonderful experience getting our family portraits. Kibbee has a wonderful eye for detail and relaxed atmosphere bringing out our real smiles instead of the nervous camera smiles we tend towards. He stole the attention of our 1 year old and did amazing keeping her happy and capturing her personality. We are forever thankful for having this time in our lives captured so well. Ok so. I drove a ways I was totally in a panic couldn't finde my make up my kid lost one earing a tree blacked the road I was 30 mins late and sweating like a pig. He was so polite and was like lets relax. I myself am a photographer so im already over thinking this. He did breakdowns with few snaps but the ones he got were good ( I am known to b snap happy) I have issues with my post baby body everything just isn't were it was. But the photos were amazing. Simple. I thought id need all these backgrounds and props. AND this was for my daughters first birthday and he captured her WILD personality

We didn't really know exactly what to expect, but we new we wanted something elegant and really special, especially for my parents. Kibbee did not disappoint! My mother is disabled and limited in movement and he was very patient and accommodating. The studio is very professional and his guidance with posing was refreshing and made us all look gorgeous! He was so fantastic at capturing the personalities of our boys that I actually gasped when I saw my oldest son's picture. You will not be getting just "pics" here. You will be getting beautiful photographic memories to share with generations to come

What can someone say about a Gentleman who can make Stone Face Grandpa smirk, 2 Teenagers (that's right 13 and 15) SMILE (TOGETHER) and a set of rambunctious 5 year old twins, who let's not joke, DO NOT want to do anything we want them to, but somehow, Kibbie got them to smile!

Kibbee was absolutely wonderful to work with on our recent family portraits! We found a beautiful outdoor location and he was very helpful for our family to pick out a flattering combination of clothes to wear so we could complement each other with that natural backdrop. Very friendly, professional, and held our hands throughout the process. Even went above and beyond to include our wacky dog. I also appreciate that Kibbee is community-minded and really gives back to community causes. Highly recommended! We love, love, love our portraits.

Kibee is a very talented photographer able to capture high quality images. He understands lighting and setting very well, and places people accordingly. During shooting he provides a casual easy going leadership style that is very easy to follow. He was able to capture some really impressive images of our children- one of whom is notorious for not being easy to photograph naturally.

I have been working with Kibee for many years on my portraits for my professional life but just recently we used him for our staff photos. I'm not a very creative person and I always rely on photographers to help me create a beautiful picture. I feel like Artisan photographers kind of let me down on this. I was hoping to use a sash I wore in my wedding for my daughter's new born pictures and the photographer didn't really incorporate it at all in the pictures. Plus for the price we paid, I didn't really like the pictures measured up to my expectations.
