I am Cynthia and I am so honored that you are here! I am a married mom of two and have been shooting professionally since 2001. My love for photography started at a young age when I picked up my first camera, a Pentax. I was on Yearbook staff in school and learned how to develop negatives and film by myself.
I started YCM in 2006 after I realized the corporate photography world wasn't for me. I am a married mom of two and super excited to meet you! First of all congratulations on that bun in your oven! We think every expectant mother is as beautiful as can be. Celebrate that baby bump and show it off! We LOVE a beautiful round belly and if we are being honest maternity sessions are some of our favorite things to photograph. Most of our maternity sessions take place in the 32-36 week range, earlier if you are expecting twins.
Want those beautiful memories of your hospital stay after baby is born but not crazy about having someone in the room with you during labor? Then we suggest booking a Fresh 48 session. We come to your Dallas Fort Worth area hospital and capture those first precious moments in the 12 to 48 hour mark after delivery.
With us both there to work with your newborn you can sit back and relax and watch the magic. We have an entire room full of newborn props, outfits, backdrops, swaddles, hats and headbands for you to use. Whether it is your first baby or your 8th we can never get enough and believe that all babies should be celebrated.
We know picking a family photographer is a daunting task. It is a huge decision and we do not take it lightly. We work really hard to make sure we take as much stress off your shoulders during the process. We offer styling of props, clothing and locations for your family portraits once you have booked.
Babies grow and change so fast, before know it they are tweens with tudes and their own opinions : We love baby photography sessions to document all milestones. First smiles, sitting up on their own, playing with those cute chubby feet, cruising and standing and of course baby's first birthday. These are moments you want to freeze forever and look back on with them as they get older.

Cynthia is AMAZING - period! I have used Your Canid Memories for every photography session since my son was a newborn and they never fail me. Cynthia makes us feel comfortable and at ease while also taking beautiful pictures. As any mother knows, taking any pictures with a little one can be stressful-to say the least - and she makes the experience fun and stress free. Meanwhile she did a great job capturing the spirit and heart of my wild child.

When looking for a photographer for our wedding it wasn't a hard decision to make at all. If you've ever seen Cynthia's work, you know it is nothing short of amazing!! She is able to capture the true love and emotion in every picture that she takes. I find comfort in knowing that I have found a photographer to capture our memories in life from now on.

Cynthia has done amazing work on both of our children during their newborn photo sessions. She will take our ideas a run with it to make it into something better than we could imagine. With our second baby we just let her use her vision and we could not be more impressed with how everything turned out. She never rushes a new born season. She wants your baby to be fed and happy so she lets you nurse/feed as often as needed. She has that magic touch when it comes to newborns and keeping them calm.

We purchased a baby plan for our son Tripp in 2015. With every step of Tripp's first year Cynthia was there to capture those precious memories. Cynthia has been photographing our family for years. She has always done such a awesome job but she outdid herself with our oldest daughters Senior pictures. Not only did she get so many unique shots she made the entire photo session a memory maker for my daughter and I. The best picture was my daughter holding her graduation year balloons. I was ready to give up with all the wind but Cynthia didn't and it was my favorite photo ever of my daughter. Most amazing photographer ever! We found Cynthia when my son was 9 months, and she is the kid whisperer. Photos can be stressful, but she takes the stress out and you will be amazed by the finish product. My son is very high energy and I am always shocked at what candid, and beautiful memories she is able to capture. I am a customer for life....and my son loves going to get his photo taken because he now knows Cynthia after 4 years. :)

Cynthia is amazing. She is very uplifting and her creativity shows through her work. When my fiance and I were looking for photographers, I looked on her website and instantly fell in love with her work. I immediately told my mom, she will make me look AMAZING on our wedding day.
